60.75's will have to break, but this is my current target for the short (59.75's). Based on volume profile though, it looks like it will either not get there, or blow right through.

    Scalping Using NYSE Tick

I don't fade TICK extremes, it only ever got me creamed. I do use the TICK to help me confirm sentiment to help me go with trend, as opposed to against it. If the TICK closes above X value my bias is now long, if TICK closes below X value my bias is now short. The above strategy gives a...

Is that really where Volente went, or is that just speculation?

To the tick buddy ;) Now it's a war between two 50%.

IT looks like they are just pausing to give shorts a reason to get back in and then BOOM.

I don't know, it's starting to look like it could get rangy. 81.50 still the line in the sand for me.

    Watching 81.50 for a bounce.

Yes, this could be for real.

HA HA! Also, I thought the idea of trading was to make money, right? If someone can show everyone a consistent way to make money off of a trendline, then who cares how "easy" it is or how many people are looking at it? I'm feeding the troll, and he's been on my ignore list for weeks already!

Completely agreed here. I've gotten better at getting bounce points down within a couple of ticks ( I trade pullbacks though, not the reversals themselves), but I usually give up a tick or two just to ensure a fill.

Josh, I would say that 63.50's should act as support, and if the TICK is confirming my bullish sentiment, that you should expect at least 69's, maybe even 70.25's. If we were to somehow rip all the way up to 74's, then I would buy any hesitation / pullback expecting at least 75.25's. I know...

I've watched where ammo adds, and he really is adding at the best possible spots. As long as you pick the right places to add based on volume (instead of panic adding) I can see how he would squeak it out when it gets hairy. The key is just relaxing through a trade going against you, and only...

I usually get a pretty good read on a DT or a breakout based on the volume profile. Price tends to travel to the edges of of the ledges on big moves like this. In a bullish condition, price will usually travel to the TOP edge of a volume cluster. In a bearish condition price will tend to...

Yes I am with you in that I find it extremely difficult to stay focused even past 9:00 PST. I think an algo assisted plan would maybe help with that, but I haven't really explored that avenue.

You know, I was planning to post something like this a while ago and forgot to. This was one of the last hurdles in my trading in the past 6 months, and I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier. Once I started opening the SIM platform right alongside the live platform, my win rate and...

I thought it was a good entry, disregarded or not. That was a solid melt, No pullbacks for me to enter on. I had a limit at 26.25's that the market didn't even flirt with.

There is a little printer symbol in the upper right corner of the platform, in between "Symbols" and "Reset". If you click it there is a take picture option.

I don't know if I would get around to using this, but it seems to be EXTREMELY useful. Very cool way to look at that information, thanks!

Not always, but my observation is typically that once a thrust / consolidation occurs, price will need to stay above that consolidation in order for the current trend to continue... That being said, I don't trade options ex because statistically they are my worst days :)
