    RDBX order rejected why?

Google is your friend: https://investorplace.com/2022/06/redbox-rdbx-stock-fans-sound-off-on-sell-only-options/ It happens when exchanges don't want new position to be opened on particular name. It's like a half halt (can close existing positions but cannot open new ones). Btw, don't pay...

    what's wrong with IB Gateway

Seems like you have an IB lite account with zero comm. You need a regular account if you want to use their API.

    Genetic algos

I've tried GA like 27 years ago. I wasn't able to find any useful edge with them. I still have my app that I've developed along with NNs. I was also using them to optimize my NNs. I'd say that they are (GA) a good way to curve fit a strategy.

    Market data lag

FWIW, exchanges use network clock devices that cost north of 25k$ each. And they generally have to use 3 (at different location) to make sure that their systems are in synch with an official atomic clock. That's very expensive just to keep their clocks in synch...

    Market data lag

You just need to compare the exchange time stamp on the trade or bid/ask message that you receive with the time at which you receive them.

    A useful tool

It is called 'Montreal Exchange' (english name for Bourse de Montréal as you mentioned). And by the way, your pic is the old location of the Montreal Exchange. They have moved a few years ago.

    PDT question .

This is considered as 1 day-trade under the PDT US rule. Under the PDT rule, a day-trade is defined as when you open + close a position within the same day. But I believe it's max 4 trades per week, not 3 as you mentioned.

Would you collaborate with a programmer if it meant sharing your system/research?

I'm using a remote access solution called LogMeIn. I can access my Desktop/server from any iOS, Android, MacOS, Windows devices. It's basically like Microsoft Windows 'Remote Desktop Connection', but on steroids.

Would you collaborate with a programmer if it meant sharing your system/research?

Web solutions are trendy these days. That's probably the main reason behind this approach. Mine is not web based and I can access it from anywhere and from any device.

Would you collaborate with a programmer if it meant sharing your system/research?

If you can find a developer who can do it in 2 weeks, go for it!!! But I would raise a red flag if someone tells me that he can develop an app/software in a specific number of hours, without knowing any details of it. Just estimating the work to do require a couple of hours. Assessing what needs...

Would you collaborate with a programmer if it meant sharing your system/research?

Not sure that your assumption is right regarding the estimate of work required. It might takes more time than 150 man/hours. And 100$/hour is a very good rate for a developer (assuming USD$).

can i setup ninjatrader on a rack?

It's a fairly good price. Although, you didn't mention the graphic card. And for your needs and that price, not sure it would be the best choice for you. 64Gb of RAM is a lot for testing with NinjaTrader and most of the price is coming from that part. The CPU was a good one, but 4-5 years ago.

Would you collaborate with a programmer if it meant sharing your system/research?

Except for #5, which can be tricky depending on how fancy you want it, the rest is pretty straightforward.

Would you collaborate with a programmer if it meant sharing your system/research?

Not sure the OP is requiring his system to be coded in NT8. And not sure either that NT8 would be the best choice of programming language based on what he wants to do. And about how complicated this could be, well, maybe it's just me. But manipulating data (time series) and applying some type...

Would you collaborate with a programmer if it meant sharing your system/research?

Probably that 95% of your stuff is general data manipulation. Any developer could do that without knowing the 5% of you system that you don't want to disclose and you could code yourself that last 5%.

Would you collaborate with a programmer if it meant sharing your system/research?

Learn to code. You'll thank me later. And it's not that complicated. You just need to take one little step at a time. You'll be surprised how fast it goes.
