    Most successful profitable day trader?

    Steve Cohen
  2. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

I'm not fighting anyone. If I don't agree, I state my opinion as food for thought.
  3. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

Absolutely not the case in this particular trade. The stock was in play and moving crazy fast with volume. The only way to make money on this trade was either skill or, as others suggest, replay.
  4. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

He has live subscribers watching him daily. I'm not one of them so can't be sure, but highly unlikely it's made up. BTW, level2 is not from TOS. I said same thing about Warrior Trading and he has audited statements and Robert confirmed his statements ... but people still don't believe it...
  5. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

Exactly, it's the new "gig economy"
  6. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

Yeah, all true, but you are telling me that when you get a day ten times your average you will fill absolutely nothing!? What if you have a loosing day ten times your average? Common.
  7. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

In the video he says he is trading live account. Even if he trades sim, you can see when he entered and when he exited. You also can hear how quickly he bangs the keys ... a sign of a real scalper :)
  8. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

That's exactly what this guy is doing and look at the feedback.
  9. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

One major stumbling block for new traders is confidence that it can be done. Naturally, we are sceptical. Then you have people who tried and failed who "know for a fact" it can't be done. Add to that fake educators and mis-educators sending conflicting messages. There's great benefit for a...
  10. Q

relative value & spreads vs. auction theory, market profile and all that

I understand what you mean, but I don't think in today's markets you can simply send huge market order to sell. Much more effective to use some aggressive algo. Not to mention there is much less liability to use someone's pre-approved algo than let some trader make discretionary decisions...
  11. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

He is running a chat room. I think we are in a new era of trading education. Yeah, you need to figure out for yourself who is fake and who is not. All of the above points people can argue, but does anyone argue that this was not a trade done in real time? Was it luck? Was it reckless? I...
  12. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

Well, it's all relative. It's one of his highest days so naturally he is excited. I assume making 3k a day is probably boring for him. Real time with level2 showing on a liquid stock? I haven't come across many.
  13. Q

    All-in-one brokerage or FCM+Feed?

    Rithmic+Advantage worth a look.
  14. Q

    Day trading is for suckers?

Note - not shorting parabolic moves, risking dollars to earn pennies, just plain old momentum. Masterful.
  15. Q

    LMI Funded Traders

Thanks for sharing. Very humble guy. It's amazing to me how the barrier to entry had been lowered by companies like yours.
  16. Q

Return of short-selling bans: market protection or 'war against truth'?

I think this is the first time I hear you advocate short term trading. On the short side nonetheless! This must mean we're topping out :)
  17. Q

    Transparency of FX quotes

Excellent question. Was curious myself. I suspect it's somewhat similar to upstairs trading where real size is still done over the phone.
  18. Q

Shopping for new software / broker / data feed

Oh that's great, sorry for misinformation based on assumption. So I can get both L1 and L2 from TDA then? Also, regarding your SDK, you have onTick() method but no onQuote() method? Don't see how to access depth info either.
  19. Q

Shopping for new software / broker / data feed

Hi @j_medved , it says on your website that you get L1 and L2 data from TDA. So as long as I have account with them, it's free? Also, I don't see any mention of SDK, you don't have it?
  20. Q

Commission free trading with direct access

I don't know, but It all depends on whether HFT or internalizer guarantees fills at official price or not. The only way to guarantee is to participate in the auction at the exchange - which costs money. Now if you simply cancel back the unfilled shares, then its easy - let's say customer...
