Right; Just when you figure you've got it, it all goes to hell. Very humbling game. Very frustrating game. I can't think of anything else I'd rather do.

Does anyone want to publish their holy grail for intraday?

Why don't you start, you are a successful swing trader, share your system. It might be possible to trade it on a smaller time frame.

Nice!! Much easier to make approach shots with a wedge than a long iron.

Does anyone want to publish their holy grail for intraday?

I went the other way from day trading to swing trading. Same principle, just a longer time frame. Way less stress and screen time. Are you using the same setup daytrading as you used swing trading. Curious, what do you consider doing quite well? Are you outperforming the indexes?

Does it work more often than not? Do you make more money on your wins? Why do you think it is not working? Do you have a plan and do you follow it exactly?

    Why Traders Lose

got ya. Options is like casino betting, You only lose what you bet. I didn't do well trading options, the commissions and the spread killed me. Much happier trading stocks. Same risk control 1% or less of account value.

Depends on your time frame. If you are wanting to use the proceeds for your retirement, don't discount the power of compounding. Look where you'd be if you bought any of those stocks 30 yrs ago.

    Why Traders Lose

    Looking for capital

You mentioned 100K. That's a start. I haven't given much thought to what kind of a split but lets throw out 50%. You would have to outperform the index which a lot of professionals don't do, plus if you didn't your career would be short lived. A 50/50 portfolio of SPY/QQQ is up over 10% this...

    Why Traders Lose

Investors tend to hold on, maybe bury their heads in the sand and manage to get through the drawdowns. Traders tend to capitulate at the wrong time.

    Looking for capital

Trading style? Day, swing or long term? You are looking for trading authority on my IB account and receive 1% per year. Would you consider a share of the profits over a buy and hold bench mark? You get a certain % for beating the return on SPY. You have to outperform the index to get paid and...
