I also do not use the standard ratios and I always try to short Vega on the rising markets using the dips. Theta usually kicks in at around 2pm...

I thought I just did. Futures are not always above the cash (BASIS). It usually indicates the down turn if they fall below the BASIS.

Sure it is hard work! Unfortunately I do not know how to make it easier. It is much less effort to trade small accounts (like I use to do). But once you have tens or hundreds of millions under management the game suddenly becomes a lot harder. I use to laugh at traders who make 10% a month...

I have an R&D budget and the research staff to make sure that we stay on top of everything. We subscribe to hundreds on-line magazines, services etc. just to feel the pulse. What can I say, I like to stay informed!

I subscribe to hundreds of services just to see what other people are doing. What is wrong with that? I do not care what makes me money. I have no ego when it comes to making $$$$ for my investors.
