    The economy is booming

I am seeing an uptick too. I am an outside sales rep and I swear that I am seeing more trucks on the road than ever (recently). I think we have seen the bottom. It will be slow or no growth for some time though as Americans actually start to save a little and live within their means. On...

WSJ: Better to "set the money on fire" than give it to GM to reinforce future losses

Oh there is certainly lots of blame to go around, including the government and citizens of the US in addition to these banks and horribly run auto companies. With that said, these clowns couldn't even turn a profit in the best of times, let alone withstand a violent down turn like we have...

Why is no one complaining about oil shorts now?

Well if I remember correctly, gasoline was around $.89/gallon ten years ago, when crude bottomed at $10/bbl. $1.59 doesn't seem too high to me at $48.00

Why is no one complaining about oil shorts now?

You never hear a word about this from Bill O'Rielly, who was screaming that the evil speculators were killing "the folks" a few months ago. I did hear him say a couple of days ago that the only reason the markets are down is because speculators "run them up and then they run them down"...

Obama promotes fiscal restraint, big spending

First off, this guy has been dealt a pretty tough hand (I did not vote for him, but now I'm pulling for him). With that said, this situation will give him the opportunity to go down as one of the all-time greats, as so many of his supporters automatically assumed he would be -or- go down as a...

Socialized Medicine, Pensions Coming Soon To The USA

I would be in favor of all of these. Can you imagine how much better our educational system would be with vouchers? Even the public schools would become good again.

Socialized Medicine, Pensions Coming Soon To The USA

Exactly. If government further involves itself in retirement and healthcare, tax rates for the middle class will go to 70%+. Not to mention that the goverment will still find a way to overspend what they are taking from us, yet our quality of life will slip significantly. Advocates of...

Socialized Medicine, Pensions Coming Soon To The USA

We are certainly at a tipping point where Americans will have to decide if they want craddle to grave entitlements and 70% tax rates, essentially working for the government, OR do we chose to reduce/limit government and keep our overall freedoms, which is what the country's founders intended...

One Of The Main Blocks To US Energy Policy Is Gone

So, do you think the "champion of the environment" is going to be a good thing for energy exploration? I guess if you want to throw $Billions at the wind fantasy or solar. I don't foresee him helping with nuclear expansion, drilling expansion, natural gas expasion.
