That being destabilization? (A body in motion tends to stay in motion.) I've often thought what a profoundly stabilizing effect it would have on the markets if only limit and market orders were accepted and stop orders were not. :)

Q.E.D. EDIT: ~1480 would make a very nice sell zone.

My tendency as well, other than extreme situations like yesterday's close. I was very nervous holding long overnight, and exited almost immediately after the open. And while I think there may be money to made on the long side today, I'm not going long. In fact, what I'm hoping for is a nice...

Hourly chart strongly suggests that we need to go higher before we can go much lower. Oversold with bullish divergence on the hourly. (Bearish as I am, I can't believe I'm saying this, but that's what I see.) Not acting on this yet, just mulling it over.

Watch for a possible failed retest of 1463. If bearish divergence accompanies the resest, could be a nice shorting opportunity coming up. That 1463 paint sure has the look of a blowoff top...massive volume, big top wick on the 15-minute candle. EDIT: Of course, if the retest fails to fail...

Taking profits on 1/2 of my long position from 1442 here at 1459 for +17. EDIT: Out of remainder at 1460 for +18. Probably shout have let this run, but I'm seeing us so overbought here (too much, too fast) and right at the top of my price channel that I lost my nerve. Okay, Apex, you can...

Possible DB forming on 60-min with bullish divergence. 4-hour also looks bullish. EDIT: Not yet sure enough about this to go long. I'd be more comfortable doing that in the 40s or 30s. EDIT: Someone was obviously listening! :)

Still not seeing bullishness on 15, 5, or 3, so remaining short. We have to break through resistance at 1554-1552, then 1445, to get to 1430s. If we get to 1430s, I'd be inclined to look to enter long there. EDIT: Possible bullish divergence on 5 and 3, watching closely. EDIT: Nice...

Given bearish appearance of 15-, 5- and 3-minute charts and the apparent attempt to break out of the "bear flag" upchannel, I'm sticking with my short position for now. I'd be a lot happier of the 60-min looked bearish, too, but we can't always have everything we want. We've got a double bottom...

Yeah, even I disagree with the timing here. :) Had I looked at the "big picture" chart earlier, I certainly wouldn't have entered short where I did. I may well wind up bailing from that trade at a small loss and re-entering at a better place.
