    Worst TWS Yet?

Why don't you give them a phone call? Select the technical section when prompted. They don't bite. I've never used chat. As an amateur, I would guess you may have a corrupted file, because no one else appears to have the issue. OldTrader

Excuse? Last I saw, jagmot was +27 points using his version. A good result I think. Mainly a tribute to how he's managing his money I think rather than the "rule" itself. 5 right out of 12 if I recall. As I read through the journal today, what struck me is that everyone understands the...

    Worst TWS Yet?

Gotta say, 886.5 worked just fine. LOL. Looks like they must have corrected a problem that was existing before. When I opened TWS, all the detached windows went to where I had them, on screen 4. Prior to this I was having to move them over there each time I opened TWS. No problem at all...

I think all this leads to is chasing the market. Sometimes that works. Most of the time it doesn't. OldTrader

For what it's worth, the ES is up against a downtrend line on the daily chart, coming from the May top. This is the line we reversed from on Monday up around 1314. Today I have the line around 1302-1303. OldTrader

That too...but I'm not expecting a big move down in NQ right now. Maybe some sideways, consolidation type action. OldTrader

I'm guessing the resistance (around 1300) there has something to do with option expiration. OldTrader

LOL. Reminds me of that old story: How do you invest successfully? Just buy the stocks that are going up. That's the key here. Just post the winners. LOL. OldTrader

You're gonna have to see some weakness over in the financials fellas. And so far it's not happening. Then too, today is an option expiration. OldTrader

OK, starting the stop off today at 1280.75, so I can watch what takes place here. Long half a position from 1290.75 yesterday afternoon. OldTrader

Like I said before, 10 point moves all over the chart...just a question of where they start. LOL. OldTrader

    Worst TWS Yet?

I upgraded from 885 to 886.5, based on your favorable post. LOL. I wasn't having any problems with 885 by the way. This 886.5 better be good. OldTrader

I don't calculate a profit target. I like to get out at a spot where I think there could be a reversal....usually into strength if I'm long, or weakness if I'm short. In other words, I buy weakness, sell strength. On my day trades, I normally like to trade in the direction of my swing...
