A Fund vs. Your Own Money

Yes, but if think about it, client redemption occurs as a result of clients not understanding the risk in Graham's sense. How many people bailed in panic during 2008/9 plunge instead of buying more on the panic peak or at least holding? Their funds would all be in the green by now, especially...

Get Rid Of All FOREX Threads Now

Surf, You seem to confuse forex with bucket shops. The fact that there are many crappy forex bucket shops around doesn't mean market itself is somewhat inferior. Reason to trade spot for me was deal cost. I traded with a broker where total cost was about 1 pip/rt while trading 6E I would...

A Fund vs. Your Own Money

This is one of the best points I've seen on ET in a while. Every trader should stick it to the wall. Seriously.

Why I Don't Believe in TA

Any particular day in 2008 when it completely stopped working? :D

Why I Don't Believe in TA

Unfortunately most people don't blame themselves. They rationalize their failure in many ways, but usually not face the reality, which is: their methods are flawed, because they never invested enough time and efforts into serious research and experience.

And absolutely real nevertheless. It's existence can't be denied.

Get Rid Of All FOREX Threads Now

Maybe I think too much about myself, but it started when I had "forex" in the end of nickname and Surf challenged me as guru aka "stealth vendor". :D

Get Rid Of All FOREX Threads Now

FX is a large market, don't think ignoring it completely is a good idea for a trading forum. And frankly, FX area is by far not the most popular among trolls and negative ETers. :)

Yes, Maestro's thread of course. Not this one, lol.

Why I Don't Believe in TA

Here we are almost into the topic of Maestro's thread again. :) Is intuitive equal to "mystical"? Not at all for me. Intuition itself is the objective information, processed by the brain, which just hasn't reached the conscious level yet. To ignore it is to ignore the overwhelming amount of...

Why I Don't Believe in TA

I call trades in chat for guys, most of whom are ET members too since the last week. All plain and clear, nothing "mystical" when it comes down to real-time calls. So in favor of TA or against, but there going to be an evidence. Prefer to meet the reality, not hide from it.

Why I Don't Believe in TA

Personally I always tried to throw off the "mystical" element around TA. But there is more to trading and TA as well, which some people confuse with being mystical, just beause it's related to a sphere of very advanced intellectual researches. Maestro touched this topic, which is very close for...

Why I Don't Believe in TA

Not even crossovers, can be simpler than that and still very profitable. But requires more than just brief testing. I spent whole weekend optimizing stats just for my entry/exit orders. Whole weekend in a spreadsheet application. After 8 years of full time trading. And that's just a tip of an...
