Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

Speaking of rooms, I closed any new member applications for anyone, but my capital management program clients and personal recommendations. The more time passes, the less I like online trading communities, especially larger ones. :)

Not at all. Almost all of my trades have positive R:R, some shoot way far ITM while stop-loss is always tight. Cutting risk side only is what I've seen most successful traders I knew do. Not the oher way around.

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

There are many platforms beyond MT4. It's popularty I think doesn't tell much about what profitable FX traders use. Doesn't have to be Reuters, just some normal broker with normal platform and fair playing field.

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

LOL... I don't know anyone among my buddy traders who uses MT4. Maybe just for some charting, but doubt about that even. :) MT4 is hardly suitable for quick entry/exit/position management.

Including companies like IB? Do you think IB also trades against it's clients who trade forex?

I tried it in 2012 as you probably remember from my posts in "Zulutrade" thread here on ET, but things didn't work as expected technically. So I switched to NQ and direct management of OPM accounts via futures clearing firm. No technical issues ever since. :)

I tried MB... probably not bad broker, but their platform is truly scary and it crashed two times for me while demoing it. Since then, no thanks. IMO is one wants to trade FX in the US, currency futures @ CME are a way to go.

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

I hardly can imagine how these results can be faked. Probably can be, but doubt it's worth that. What can be gained by posting faked statements there? Some ego boost? LOL Now as for bucket shops. Not all of those trade against their clients. As it comes from the name, they simply offset...

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

Several people, including some ET members have more than just viewing statements, they have my trades executed in THEIR accounts. If I ever lie about my results I openly asked them in our chat to expose my BS publicly. :) If you really want, I could even trade your money so you see all...

What I see in this thread as a trading psychologist is too much focus on single trades. That's not too constructive to pay so much attention to single calls and not the overall picture. Creates a tendency to try and force winners. No good. Surf, if you consider becoming a professional trader...

Me and my clients are with DDT, Howard really sets the benchmark of support level vs. many other companies I tried. However prefer to keep the minimum needed to trade on the accounts, it doesn't depend which broker, just a matter of common sense. When you know your stats, you're pretty...

As long as position sizing was mentioned, my rule of thumb for OPM is 1 NQ contract per $2500 on the account. That's considering any trade is given generally no more than 8-10 ticks heat (aka stop-loss). That equals to approximately 2% max risk per trade. Usually more aggressive with my own...

Brazil: Wish you all the best in trading futures! My own choice of index futures is NQ. Much better overall volatility than ES and still liquid enough (for average of two digits number of contracts at least, size I normally trade now).

No idea. But CME is not panacea as well, especially outside of RTH and/or during periods of daily downtime. Flash crash comes to mind too, when people just couldn't get out of positions. That's trading, it always was risky and there are more risks than just volatility.

http://www.dukascopy.com/swiss/english/about/company/ "2010 Dukascopy Bank SA Dukascopy is authorised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA to conduct banking activities." Key is they provide access to SWFX liquidity pool, it has amazing depth.

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

Nope. Looks like a list of crappy dealers. Absolutely agree there are plenty of them and that's exactly what hurts the image of FX market. But in reality I have no idea why would anyone settle with some company from that list. As I said before, some very interesting offers in this market...

Do full-time forex traders exist or is it just make believe?

Nothing stops one from trading currency futures or through a serious ECN broker if he/she suspects his dealer is manipulating quotes. I agree that there are shady FX bucket shops, but companies like Dukascopy, LMAX or Interactive Brokers are 100% legit ECNs and can't be accused being part of...
