I remember there was a prof in CA ( maybe standford ) who had some model that was supposed to predict the market not sure how accurate it has been in recent yrs but for a while it did look good ps the "midnight rally" is in effect ... if the middle east or elsewhere does not...

how often does this happen ? trader "A" has overleveraged himself intraday and mr market somehow forces him to reduce his position as the overnight margin rates come into affect shortly before the close of the days session before going back in the direction that was making money for...

what is the millenium book ? is it the way of arbing the "open book" or a proprietary execution system that "arbs" among various ecns and the specialist? by the way ... if one has an edge like this it might be a stupid way to make money and might "run its course" down the road ...

this week ... there have been few days where ARCA is not making markets in mining stocks pre market now ... they never really make a market ... its just GTC orders usually on their book ... but on the dozen or so stocks I look at including ETF's there are few if any bids and offers...

does the ecbot really adjusts trades in their metals complex outside of the no bust ranges ? I did not know that ... if true .. thats a good thing for the small spec. when "fat finger" strikes ... :)
