Adam, Do you have a trading plan that you truely believe that it has an edge? If you don't then you need to come up with a plan that you really trust. If you do have such a plan, then you need to execute it without "thinking"...

What is your time-frame? Did you violate your stops? I don't think that anyone can predict what this beast will do next.

Make sure that you risk small until you get back to the groove. Times before and after vacation have always been bad for me! I learned my lesson the hard way.

Learning How to Take a Loss Humans are risk averse. We don't like losses, and we'll do almost anything to avoid taking them. Losses are painful, and there's a strong need to seek out pleasure and avoid pain. It is easier to avoid admitting a loss, and traders tend to come up with many ways...

You have to switch to the futures. 3 pips constant spread is theft!

I see you're more like in the scalping time-frame.. The market got slippery. I still favor the short direction though.

I'm back to short now. The 20+ ticks upswings during shorts threw me off completely. I got hit by three of the them. The last one really looked like a trend change and thus I didn't re-enter short. Then it was a very clean ride down about 44 ticks without me :( Oh well.

I got back in short again. In fact, it's getting choppy you're right. I have decent stamina now, so I'll sit through this for a bit.

I got stopped out. I'll wait for a bit more if I get another downtrend signal.

Let me know if you find a good stop-level :) The only thing I found is that, strongly trending markets rarely pullback more than 30 pips! The downside volume is stronger now. Perhaps a downtrend will develop soon. I slept like a horse this weekend, I'm still wide awake. Probably I'll monitor...

I wouldn't be surprised to see more yo-yo action for little bit more. I would expect a pullback during the the European session.

I'm going to wait until after 10 pm PST my local time which is about one hour befor the Europe trading session. This time also coincides with the end of IB's system reset. By trial and error, I found out that the usual slow crawl and back and forth range trading during the Asian trading...
