Nice turn-around in a pretty short period of time. Have you been back recently? Are you eligible for their services? I'm not sure how all that works. c

    Obama Creates Constitutional Crisis Again

Well, wouldn't count on much on the birth certificate. The health care issue may have some traction. My feelings are more along the line that since half of all Americans are already covered by some sort of Gov't healthcare anyway (Medicare, military, local and state, etc.), even Congress, which...

Conjecture On The U.S. - Israel Rift

The adage 'a cynic knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing' - applies in some cases. Also, 'trust but verify,' which I prefer, applies in virtually every case. Pessimism is more of a concern, imo, than being a bit cynical at times. It's the preconceived ideas that bother me...

OK, fair enough. We'll have to wait and see I guess. c

    Obama Creates Constitutional Crisis Again

Is this not valid? 'Justice Dept. says recent recess appointments legal' http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/story/2012-01-12/recess-appointments-justice-department/52516746/1 c

    Qatar, 60 minutes piece.

I tend to agree. In Qatar they have several U.S. Universities to educate their people. Perhaps, hopefully in the short term, this Western influence will re-direct their centuries old tribalism. I wouldn't count on it, but we can hope. c

    Qatar, 60 minutes piece.

Not sure I understand your point here. Are you saying that because the U.S. is their ally, that they are against peace? That would make it seem we are against peace. I'm sure you don't mean that, it just reads that way? I did see where they dispatched aircraft for humanitarian purposes. c

    Qatar, 60 minutes piece.

So, drill for oil, establish socialism? Hmm, perhaps a bit too many mouths to feed here, no matter how big the oil money. I just thought it was interesting. Small, rich country, with the biggest media outlet in the region. Pushing peace? How dare they? c

Birthers Hail Judge’s Decision That Could “Depose” Obama

Oh, come on now. Of course it was a picked up piece, and I just thought the piece was a good analysis. Things like this is why I, and perhaps others, log onto ET. With more sets of eyes, we can learn more, and more quickly, than we would otherwise. Posting good stuff is a plus around...

    Qatar, 60 minutes piece.

Cradle to grave, that's for sure. The Emir was asked about his tenacity in peace keeping in the Region. They own Al-Jazeera TV, and have been accused of being peace-niks I guess. His response was kind of funny, something to the effect of 'a Country as small as ours, do you not think peace is a...

Iran warns of consequences if Arabs back oil sanctions

I was watching some of the rhetoric from Russia in this regard as well. They sure seem to not want the U.S. to get too much more involved in Iran, that's for sure. Anyone see/hear that? Your thoughts? Pretty scary if we have Iran, Russia, and China on the same side. c

Birthers Hail Judge’s Decision That Could “Depose” Obama

You noticed I didn't take the opportunity to quote Mr. George W. Bush's famous quote, right? 'fool me once' etc. c

Birthers Hail Judge’s Decision That Could “Depose” Obama

Yeah, ok, but don't they all think they're fooling us to vote for them again? In some ways, for sure. They call it flip flop, or to rationalize - to modify our thoughts based on new data, or something similar. If we took all the same accomplishments, switched names, would we not see the...

    Qatar, 60 minutes piece.

Anyone see the piece about Qatar on 60 minutes? Seems like Utopia until I rewound a second time and realized there were about 250K actual Qatar residents, and over a million from other countries to do the work. That part was not addressed. How do they live? Anyone been there? c

Birthers Hail Judge’s Decision That Could “Depose” Obama

Nice read, and of course it has all the bashing expected from the extreme right. Granted, it is from an Obama supporter at Newsweek, but the reason I think it's worth reading, is that even the most staunch Obama supporter is timid in listing his accomplishments. I guess it's just plain fear of...

911 was our fault: Ron Paul

Ut oh, again, maybe. We may agree on this. Our unilateral involvement in other countries is still a bit weird. I understand that some believe we were somehow responsible for not getting involved in WW2 sooner, I can see that. But this never ending effort to make every tribe in the world follow...

Birthers Hail Judge’s Decision That Could “Depose” Obama

+1 And, OK, I have to say it. I guess only Native Americans should be able to run for President. We are all un-natural born citizens if we go back far enough, right? I know I can only go back to about 1800 or so, for sure anyway, with my Ancestry in the U.S. Of course this is extreme and...

Birthers Hail Judge’s Decision That Could “Depose” Obama

I'm not a fan of politico's on either side running up bills and expecting others to pay them. A little different when a lawyer files lawsuits before raising money from clients. Just seems a bit weird. Not a real big deal I guess. c
