Sockpuppets, shame, and our ad hominem heavy board

Let me toss this up, once again, only differently. Where is Jeb Bush on the Florida primary? Why not support of either candidate? Is he going to come in at the last minute at the RNC convention? I was not a fan of GWBush, but I think Jeb has more going for him, seriously. Thoughts...

Sockpuppets, shame, and our ad hominem heavy board

Another point of agreement, perhaps a +1. Glad Mr. Ricter is still on board. I realize that I am sort of a new guy as far as hanging out more down here in the P&R, but if we can get good discussions and debates without all the name calling, so much the better. IMO. c

Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice

As I recall it, yes it was primarily started with IV drug use, and the male homosexuals, I'll give you that. Not as much now of course. c

Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice

One study talks about spreading of AIDS, the other speaks to having AIDS. And, if you add up the various groups, even in the 2006 study, 'could' be interpreted as pretty even. Still too big a number, no matter how you analyze it. And certainly not limited to gays. c

Leon Panetta on 60 minutes, GREAT VIDEO.

I think he's being purposely vague. Good watch, very interesting. c

Tell us how you really feel. You do know that AIDS is spread more by hetero's than Homosexuals, right? http://elkodaily.com/news/opinion/article_e5df3d48-a41f-11e0-bf39-001cc4c002e0.html And, as they say. He who protests too much. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Foley...

We survived the 60's. We survived the Cold war, I think we can survive some protesters, some tea partyers, whomever. I don't necessarily support either group hanging out for media attention, but we'll survive. c

I have to ask Mr. Nutmeg. And I apologize if this has been addressed before. But, based on your jokes alone, I wonder if you make money as a writer or comedian? Is all this fun stuff we read original? c

Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice

Mr. Nutmeg, are you in the camp of hating gays? I have enjoyed your comedy, your sharp mind, over the years. I would guess you're not 'homophobic' in the recognized sense. Am I wrong here? You seem to be an equal opportunity humorist. In my experience, most enlightened people don't concern...

Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice

Or, did the Germans hate the Jews? Or do the Sunni's hate the Shiite's, on and on. How did or is all that working out? Rapists? Which one's? The one's in prison who switch from women to men, just because they are total assholes themselves? Sorry, I guess I stooped to using childish words...

Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice

OK, I'll ask. What is ridiculous about thinking that hatred of a class of human beings is bad? I don't need to cite many historical references that show how biased hatred has caused major wars and other social ills. c

Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice

'Homophobia is a range of negative attitudes and feelings towards homosexuality and people who are identified as or perceived as being homosexual. Definitions[1][2][3] refer variably to antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, and irrational fear. Homophobia is observable in critical and...

Rep Harman outraged that she was wiretapped (though she voted for the Patriot Act)

What an outrage. How dare someone spy on me. I have always thought the 'patriot act' was hardly patriotic. More intrusion based on excess paranoia. Taking a horrible event, run by thugs and criminals, and using it to wreak havoc on our own citizens. Yes, kill the bastards who did it, but...

Yeah, I have to go with freedom of speech on this one, reluctantly. I guess as repugnant as the KKK marches and things like that as well. We have to hold our noses and turn away and Thank God, or whomever, for our Nation of laws. c

    Nice documentary, 10 Days

After seeing The Incredible Shrinking Man movie, seeing how things are seen down to the very small size, sure why not. Our Universe could just be a fish tank for some very bad child, or was in a Star Trek episode. But, yes, we have gone a long way with science, and I don't want to bet against...
