    Is day trading worth it?

I see. In NQ liquidity issue is obviously less important.

    No CL, GC for you?

    Is day trading worth it?

I prefer to remain paranoid about revealing exact rules for entry/exit in illiquid markets though... simple glance at DOM shows there is just not enough space for everyone...

    Is day trading worth it?

Edge can die in case of PA too in markets with relatively low liquidity, cause at least in theory others may compete for the entry and maybe exit as well.

    Is day trading worth it?

Some markets like CL/GC/DAX are still in a good state. Which probably has something to do with absence of big volume there and hence less "back and fill" games going. But "The It" of financial industry like ES, bond futures or major currencies are extremely choppy compared to happy days of the...

    Is day trading worth it?

I must admit indeed that reaction works much better in thinner and more volatile markets, while liquid markets like EURUSD or ES are much harder to momentum trade intra-day except rare times when some serious news shift them into "runaway mode" as well, aka 2008-9 like action (ideally)...

    Is day trading worth it?

Well, GG is right IMO. There are people who play it more "Soros way" based on their view of the future. And there are reactors indeed, who just follow what market tells them.

    Is day trading worth it?

    Why do traders fail?

Well, there's some psychological benefit in setting many small goals for sure.

    Why do traders fail?

I would say without a basic skill it was equally unlikely to break-even or make any profits. So it's a matter of skill. Always. Not targets. P. S. Nap time for me. :)

    Why do traders fail?

But it was not so easy to achieve not because my quasi-target was wrong. It was not easy due to absence of necessary skill.

    Why do traders fail?

    Yes, of course.

    Why do traders fail?

Neither in ticks. Just never cared about targets.

    Why do traders fail?

Think so. Cause it can be achieved extensively (more contracts/markets) and step from good to better is emotionally much easier.

    Why do traders fail?

I am not speaking of my personal experience here. And honestly there never was $ target to reach.

    Why do traders fail?

It would be very good if struggling traders loved to put efforts in reaching such a target in the beginning of their career. Cause it's easier to improve from break-even to profit than from losing to break-even.
