I truly believe that if you tackle trading with anything less than a consuming passion to get it right, you don't have a chance. If your primary concern is how much you can make, how long it will take, etc., etc., forget about it.
When I read some of these posts I realize how little I know about the markets. There are so many angles. I love these little tidbits you throw out, Don.

Your living in a dream world. Do you honestly think somebody, with a paragraph or two, can give you a key to making money in the market? If your lucky enough to be making money following someone, stick to that person like glue until you learn what and how he/she is doing.
Am I the only one who never has and probably never will keep a journal? I don't do anything before or after the market either. Guess I don't stand a chance.:)
Tried the Beta this morning for the first time. Bars kept going off the bottom of the chart. When I switched time frames a bunch of bars were missing when I switched back. Couldnt do overlays. I quickly uninstalled and went back to 6.3. Using 2000 Pro. Guess it still needs some tweaking.

Ive only used IB for futures so cant make a comparison. They are ok so far. Had a couple of small glitches a few days ago but lately its been allright. I dont see much of a difference trading the eminis vs trading the QQQ. To me, theyre all pretty much the same. I dont know if...
I certainly wouldnt say that futures were easier. You have to watch the whole market just as you do for any vehicle so the learning curve is not any shorter.

What setups do you trade? What is your criteria for entry and exit
P. S. If you cannot answer these questions with precision, that is your problem?
Im older than most of you and I was raised on commercials so I know you were too. They are a fact of life. TV is free, free, free, because of commercials. Get a grip.
AB Watley was my first broker. I read a book on daytrading and opened an account for 10k because they had free level two which was a novelty at the time. $30 a side! Its a wonder I only lost half my stake. They had an edge but were too slow to adapt. Quick or Dead in this business!
