New !! CME Fed Funds-Eurodollars Exchange Spread

Yes, Burghardt's stuff is always good, since they really cover the basics amazingly well... The problem with LIBOR is that there is a lot of regulatory crap that has gone into effect post-crisis. People spend a lot of time looking at all the gory details and it's not pretty. Of course, the...

New !! CME Fed Funds-Eurodollars Exchange Spread

Well, if you put it like that, Mav, I shall happily yield the stage and let a better man explain this stuff... Please don't hesitate.

New !! CME Fed Funds-Eurodollars Exchange Spread

It can be seasonal, to some extent, although the dynamics can be complicated. It mostly mean reverts, but, again, it can be complicated. I am not sure how you would chart it on IB. You'd need support for continuous futures and I don't know if IB can do it.

    Profiting from New tax plan

Possibly... Alternatively, it could be some bid from the pension fund community. Who knows.

    Profiting from New tax plan

Yeah, I second that... And one of the things that didn't work bigly was short bonds. And the expression just didn't matter.

Trader '50 Cent' lost $197 million betting on market meltdown

Based on the performance of the listed vehicle, Ruffer seems to have underperformed FTSE All Share index by arnd 9.2% this year (also underperformed last year, but only by arnd 3.6%). So them puts have a cost, undoubtedly (assuming Ruffer is Fiddy, in fact). Still, given the nature of the fund...

Trump Tax Reform - a total squeeze on middle class W2 workers

Obviously, it's impossible to know anything with certainty, as far as this tax bill is concerned. However, it seems that the reconciled version will preserve the deductions for tuition waivers and student loan interest...

    Fed Shrinking it's Balance Sheet

It will be a very slow process... Reserves will shrink probably by a factor of 2. The Fed will reinvest progressively less and less. That’s it, nothing really much to it other than that.

Ray Dalio on Failure, Meaningful Work and Relationships

Nah, nothing quite that profound... Just the grain of truth in self-help books that @newwurldmn was referring to.

Ray Dalio on Failure, Meaningful Work and Relationships

Well, I am just not sure this works for me... To start with, I dislike most self-help books intensely. The only reason I might have been willing to make an exception for Uncle Ray is because I thought that, not only does he practice what he preaches, but the results are impressive. I just...

Ray Dalio on Failure, Meaningful Work and Relationships

This bit here describes the issue I have with Dalio and his principles well: https://dealbreaker.com/2017/11/sexual-misconduct-allegations-at-bridgewater-continue-to-be-handled-in-totally-normal-not-at-all-creepy-cultish-manner/ Lemme just say that, as time goes on and I learn more about what...
