    Trading Hammers (revisited)

Regarding hammer #1, ER2 showed a white hammer in that position whose lower shadow was at least equal to the lower shadow of the bar two intervals earlier. I'm not sure if that's good enough for Nihaba's standards, but it's a trade that I took.

    Oil Prices

I see that they topped out in June. By "bad year", do you mean lagging inventory levels?

    Oil Prices

Why do you say seasonality points down? I track seasonality, too, and I see the first opportunity for a seasonal decline in oil to be Oct to Nov. Of course, different methodologies will yield different results, I'm just curious as to how yours works. Thanks.

Why we will rally again today.

When you say bond prices are being manipulated up, you mean yields, right?

    Oil Prices

Just a rough guess based on the last consolidation period on the daily chart, I figure we're good until ~$68.36.

Holy shit...I can't tell you how many times I've scrolled through the function list and didn't see "Minutes Since Bar Opened" *dolt* Thanks

    CQG Clock?

By any chance, is there a built-in countdown clock in CQG, showing how much time is left in the current bar? Thanks!

    Nat Gas trading

I would suggest the latter. 20 lots is a lot for QG, especially when you consider natural's volatility.

    Trading Hammers (revisited)

What about this one, which showed also showed up today on the ER2? Nice volume, sitting atop support, etc. Even though the body was equal to the upper shadow, as opposed to larger, would you have considered that acceptable in real time in light of the rest of the setup?

Thanks for posting that last chart...caught that one in real time today, but it's good to have you confirm I got it right.

    Moving Average or Linear Regression?

How is it leading, Maestro? I don't know too much about splines, except that they're apparently 4th degree polynomials that fit data?

    For those using Camtasia...

What are the specs on your machines, and what settings do you use on Camtasia? I tried it out the other day, and my system slowed down way too much. I've got a P4, 3GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM. I was running CQG and X_Trader at the time. Do I need to upgrade my machine to pull this...

    Trading Hammers (revisited)

I assume "hammer" can refer to shooting stars as well... Here a trade I took today in natural gas. Despite the fact that this looked like a good place to short, price meandered around above and below the hammer for the rest of the day. I would've expected a more forceful turnaround. It...

    NYMEX's London move????

I justed started trading e-miNYs off a screen here at the NYMEX last week. Whenever I tell a local what I'm doing, he always readily agrees that trading from the screen is the way to go and discourages me from trying to learn the floor. Obviously I haven't spoken to every local or even a...

    Excel Trade Tracker/Analyzer?

Hey, guys. Anyone happen to have a Excel spreadsheet into which one can enter trades and get the usual sorts of summary information, such as average winner/loser, holding period, biggest winner/loser, etc? I'm looking for something into which I can paste X_Trader's tradebook info. It...

    are props trading crude/nat gas?

Eh, well I was trading from the screen, but I was trading the big contract and calling in my orders. The liquidity is fine with the big guys. It's just the e-miNYs that give you trouble.
