What kind of approach can make you INSANELY rich?

Could you indicate where you see the position limit as 50. I see it as much much greater. I see the contract size as 50, but that is something entirely different.

Question for those who believe everything is 50/50 always...

I guess so. But most successful sources of trading profits provide a regular stream of income. The exception to this and what could be compared to a lottery ticket like trade would be CDS during the housing bubble. Anyway, I thought we were talking about currencies and futures.

Page 6, last paragraph of his post. He says he has the chance to become a billionaire, but holds back, choosing a less aggressive strategy to avoid a substantial drawdown.

We'll if that were the case, then trader A would not be on the way to becoming a billionaire, which his post implied.

Question for those who believe everything is 50/50 always...

Sorry, but I assumed you were trader A. Most people will not let others watch so closely how they trade, so as not to give up their strategy. You claimed to have intimate knowledge of trader A's method, so I assumed you were talking about yourself. And you claimed your goal was 2 points, which...

Question for those who believe everything is 50/50 always...

To make over 100% a week trading the ES, you would need to make more than 2 points a day. That comes out to 10 points a week. You would need over 200 X leverage to accomplish this, which is crazy.

Is the real reason you are not going for the billion is to stay off the Forbes 500 list? :D

"Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." I wouldn't be surprised if the market turns to a bear as the new president takes office.

It also says they are eligible for free orthopedic surgery which costs between $40,000 - $50,000 in the USA. This can be a disaster for American families with high deductibles.

Thomas Piketty Debates Bain Capital's Edward Conard

First of all, I didn't vote because I didn't like either candidate's message sufficiently. But my point was that Mexico should pay for the free healthcare provided to its citizens who have established themselves here illegally. Think of it as part of the balance of trade between the two...

Thomas Piketty Debates Bain Capital's Edward Conard

Well, if you are not willing to allow 1 billion impoverished Chinese and 1 billion impoverished Indians into this country, then even you admit that there is a limit to illegal immigration. With 19 trillion in debt, and medical and education costs out of control, many would agree that the limit...

Thomas Piketty Debates Bain Capital's Edward Conard

If you count illegal migrants as refugees, which they basically are, then your point is wrong. There were only 110,000 Syrians living in Germany as of 2014, and Iraqis weren't even in the top 20 population group despite the Iraq war having gone on for a long time. Foreigners living in Germany...

Thomas Piketty Debates Bain Capital's Edward Conard

Germany doesn't import mass poverty in the form of illegal immigration for decades like the USA, thereby changing the wealth distribution, and making it more unequal. So your point is debunked. After decades of millions of poor middle easterners illegally immigrating to Germany, Germany's wealth...
