Inflationary Surges in the past 50 years

A valid observation. Also noteworthy, as company prices rise, earning rise as well, providing the Illusion of a healthy/growing economy. A "little bit" of inflation is a good thing, until it stops being a good thing. "He who supps with the devil better have a long spoon".

Inflationary Surges in the past 50 years

Dr. Copper doing its thing. New all time highs this past week. High water mark $5.20/pound, previous high $5.04/pound Closing still strong $4.75/pound Surprising the home builders are still strong. Crude Oil watching from the dugout, maybe get in the game soon. Daily, "Bull-Pennants-R-Us"...

    China's dedollarization

Oh, you mean the LBJ School of Diplomacy. But most people walking around (and voting), have NO idea what that means or looks like.

    China's dedollarization

We've been exporting jobs and inflation for decades. All part of the poorly monitored "Marshall Plan" Now the bill is coming due. I just hoped we don't get nuked.

Honey, Lets Sell the Kids and Buy Gold

OK. All that stuff is relevant, first to investors, then different types of traders. "Death and taxes", that's for sure. But nothing else. Whether you're doing TA or Fundies, its still a crapshoot. Do your work, then pick the best odds you can find. A lot of friction on this MB. I'm sorry it's...

Honey, Lets Sell the Kids and Buy Gold

Looks like a cool movie. Personally, Kevin Spacey is a dirtbag, but a great actor. Maybe as good as John Houseman in "Paper Chase" So I bought the DVD, EBAY. Thanks for the idea.

Jesse Livermore Trading History Highlights... Excellent Vid...

Here is a list of ancient tickers that Tradingview offers. The Dow Jones is sourced through TBC. Interesting history, it was JD Rockefeller Sr. (the "richest man who ever lived") who shaped the carbon based energy complex into the business model that it is today. JD's first fortune was...

Honey, Lets Sell the Kids and Buy Gold

My mother was 12 when her father passed away. If it was not for a very generous grandfather in NYC (Battalion Chief NYFD), she would have taken a ride on the Orphan Train.

That looks like it. (I'll watch it later today with my wife) People need to wake up. Now.

Honey, Lets Sell the Kids and Buy Gold

I don't think that was it Mr. Zdreg. I think most of the families were in NYC. It was staggering to watch. Point being: Our government has reached sprawling proportions, mostly by sleight of hand (using various platforms for expanding the money supply). But it's totally a ONE TRICK PONY. That...

Honey, Lets Sell the Kids and Buy Gold

That depression era photo might be photo-shopped: (the letters on the sign look 3-D, the lighting, the glistening), BUT the sentiment is 100% accurate. I remember seeing a documentary within the past few years, of large city families (husband/wife) shipping their children off to farms in the...

Russian court seizes assets worth €700mn from UniCredit, Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank

How much diesel fuel do we produce domestically, and how much is exported from.Russia? Asking for a friend. (likely we have 100% of the greenies right here)

Any lonely souls out there? GPT-4o is here to fill the void

I have no idea how this AI is coded. But most programming languages have a built-in Math function (aka "method"), similar to MSFT Excel. if there are basic math errors in any of this stuff, this is not an IT shop doing it. More likely a "glue sniffing" shop. My $.02

Any lonely souls out there? GPT-4o is here to fill the void

At a macro-level, we are currently in the post WWII era. Bretton Woods, USD as the global RESERVE currency, etc. And at a macro-level, I do think we are rapidly moving into the next paradigm. just as with Bretton Woods, it WILL be agreed upon by the major players. Call it whatever you want...

    Ending the Deficit

OK, but the current iteration was started at the end of WWII. The Bretton Woods Agreement paved the way for most economies of the world (free and not free) to move toward rebuilding. It was a daunting task. Military people like Gen. George Marshall, Gen Dwight Eisenhower, etc., knew that...

    Bitcoin’s Potential Reversal

OK, have it your way. Who would buy NYSE stocks if the Chairman of the NYSE was sentenced to 25 years in jail for fraud (stealing customer funds) ? Maybe I have just seen too many scams. And you really need to curtail the "LOL". Makes you look really small.
