    advice for equities startup

If you are just using MOCs, order management is pretty simple. I imagine you are a smart guy so you could probably just do it yourself instead of hiring somebody. Since your strategy is 100% systematic, you must already know how to code in order to have created that. So from that starting point...

How to sell a profitable trading strategy?

Are you one of those annoying people that only answer the last question that was asked and ignore everything else?

How to sell a profitable trading strategy?

Have you live traded your strategy at all? If not, why? A real track record is way more convincing than a backtest. In the OP you said the sharpe was "over 2". How much over? If it's only 2.0001, then that could take years to show.

How to get some yield if you have EUR account at IB

I was explaining to you why someone might keep "hundreds K of idle EUR cash" or other forms of EUR exposure in their account.

How to get some yield if you have EUR account at IB

Apparently It's not possible to respond to this topic w/o people getting pedantic about edge cases of the cash thresholds. Boring. Tell me something I can't look up with 2 clicks from IB's front page.

How to get some yield if you have EUR account at IB

Who cares about 10k lolz, where do you think I got that number, it's from the page you screenshotted. Can't use it for margin if it's in a bank account. Don't want USD exposure since I don't live in the US.

How to get some yield if you have EUR account at IB

OK, I think you are right for <100K EUR because of the threshold. But for larger amounts of cash I am right: If you look at the sept 2020 contract, it's currently yielding about 2.2% annualized which is roughly the spread between the USD and EUR rates. IB charges -0.83% on EUR cash. Total yield...

How to get some yield if you have EUR account at IB

Op doesn't want exposure. And if he did, buying USD outright is more effective than using futures.

How to get some yield if you have EUR account at IB

Instead of holding EUR cash you could convert it to USD, then hedge with EURUSD futures or call options. Call options are an imperfect hedge, but can be very margin efficient if you go a little out of the money. This kind of setup doesn't get you USD rates on your EUR cash, you still pay the...

    Interactive Brokers Prime Services

Turns out this doesn't work. Both IB and Lime charge the same for execution+clearing as they do for execution or clearing. You would basically pay double commission to trade this way.

An In Depth Discussion About Margin

Advantage compared to what, being unhedged? OP is using futures to hedge his FX risk. This should give basically the same results as a margin loan shouldn't it?

An In Depth Discussion About Margin

You have to do the math, but generally futures will have better implied interest rates than what a broker will give you, even IB. The question is, is it worth the extra risk/complexity/effort of rolling contracts, the extra margin use, etc. When I last evaluated this question, the answer for me...

What does it take to be a trader.

That seems quite excessive IMO, you basically already had a whole career by the time you saved that much, then you become a fulltime trader? It seems to defeat the point to some extent (accelerated wealth accumulation)

What does it take to be a trader.

Don't quit your day job until you are already profitable. To really know you are profitable with confidence you should have a high sharpe ratio, at least 3, and be beating the market in most conditions. How much money to have - I recommend at least $100K for trading risk, 200K is much better...

    Winning $20 M Won't Make You Happy

So if i wont pay my entire life's work to see a loved one for just one more day, I have no empathy? Fuck off. If you would do such you are a moron, if not you are a hypocrite or a liar for accusing me. Oh I thought of a 4th option, maybe you have so little savings in the world that this deal...

    Winning $20 M Won't Make You Happy

I don't know how rich @volpri is but for most people 20MM is like 10 lifetimes worth of earnings. The idea that someone would trade their entire life's work for one single day with a loved one is frankly ludicrous. It is just feel-good nonsense.
