Actually this adds credibility to Hawking's argument because he would surely sell more books had he come to the conclusion that yes, a creator does exist.

It's amazing how you can take an entire passage from a book that explains why there is no creator, read one simple sentence (our universe looks extraordinarily fine tuned), and somehow determine that this means a creator exists. I think you are delusional, and unable to see the other side...

Your problem is that you lump all scientists together and are under the impression that "scientists" all have the same beliefs. It's just as wrong as when an atheist posts a quote from some priest in some far away land, and then pretend that all priests feel the same way.

I don't think Hawking is bitter at all. In fact he's just the opposite. Everything I read by and about Hawking seems to suggest that he loves this Earth and is grateful for every day he is alive.
