    medved quote tracker locks up

if you have the patch installed, then there is nothing TDA can do to interfere with QT itself. As for the datafeed, they can of course turn that off if you use them as the datafeed, but I am guessing that to be unlikely, regardless of Command Center's fate.

    medved quote tracker locks up

if you do that, you would need to re-apply the patch, and you would lose all your preferences, chart settings, portfolios, etc... Wouldn't it be simpler to just delete a few files?

    medved quote tracker locks up

you may want to delete your data files. Close QT and delete the following in the QT folder CHLINES.DAT CACHE\*.* you will lose your stored data and lines on the charts, but otherwise, all the settings will still be there.

if you applied the patch correctly, you should not need registration and would not need any updates (TDA doesn't update anything for QT anymore anyway) Check in the HELP/About... menu that you have 3.9.8a version (note the a)

you have to extract the contents of the patch zip file into the QuoteTracker install folder, overwriting the existing files. You cannot just run the executable that is in it

The easiest way is to just copy the entire QuoteTracker directory from the old computer to the new one, then create the shortcut for the STOCKS.EXE. Alternately, you can do a regular install of QT, then extract the patch (patch on its own won't work). you can get the full install at...

seems that for the non-NASDAQ Level II, they changed from sending the size in 100s to sending the actual size. QT is multiplying the value by 100, so all values are displayed with an extra couple zeros.

QT doesn't really have "blank" chart. It gets last used. If there is none, it gets the default. you can configure one chart and set it as the default (in the right click menu). Then right click on any chart and select New Chart..

E*Trade US Streaming should still work. Not sure what iTrader refers to with the "No" but the quotes work. No backfill though., Assuming you get the patch, TDA "shutdown" would be irrelevant - QT would not be getting any data or in any way communicating with TDA servers so there would not be...

QT supports ETrade for quotes only, not backfill. Speedtrader is not supported. You could get one of the supported subscription datafeeds, such as IQFeed.

you are asking the wrong person - that would be a question for Ameritrade. Of course they will claim that they don't support QT and you should switch to TOS, but this is not a Quotetracker bug. This is simply the data they return via the API for that symbol

iTrader, The patch updated the program to allow up to 60 days of data, but the TDA backfill configuration file is still set to max 20 days of backfill data, so as you go forward, it will store data.
