QT limit would be 100 for IB. I don't have any patch right now. That does remind me to put in some sort of override for the limit in MT.

it's not the download that failed. its the running of that exe. You would want to set QT to start "As Administrator"

it might be a temp file used during saving. I don't remember. Any limit that may be there would be many times higher than 30MB

Backfill has not worked in that version for years. There is a patch posted way earlier here for 3.9.8a that fixed that issue.

Java version is only relevant when using it with IB. What QT version are you using? Paintbars (or similar) feature is not done. Other things are higher priority right now.

QT had a limit to the number of bars it would show on the chart, so if the ticks per bar is set low, it would cut off. MT has something like that, but significantly higher don't have a production release date, but trading for TDA and IB will be released very soon in beta. Hopefully this...

y, could be. Issue is with the backfill request - We specifically sent out a request time in Eastern time and specified that. But that specification seemed to be ignored, which I guess could be due to some change in date parsing in Java.

The only workaround for QT would be to change your computer's time zone. Since Ameritrade does not support QT, there will not be any updates. You can get a beta version Medved Trader, which has this issue fixed. To get it, either email our support, or register and post a beta request at...

Dale, if the issue did not go away on its own after 10 min or so, is it specific to a particular symbol? I doubt IB would have changed anything that would cause QT to not work all of a sudden. Did not get any reports of problems with IB from Medved Trader clients.

IB is fine for 1 minute frequency. They don't provide exact tick data, but for 1 minute aggregation, or even 1 second, it won't be a problem

if you are doing a few futures symbols, NxCore seems like a major overkill. IQFeed would easily handle that. Even if you are processing a thousand symbols, it would not be a problem. IQFeed does have CME wavier option with IB. Don't know how it works with others.
