what you can do is open an account as a company (you must register a company you and your friend with both as owners50-50) and then designated you and your friend as traders giving half of buying power to each of them (on ib). Of couse this may be a mess for such amount.

you can't have an account at IB under the FA because every account must meet the $25,000 requirement.

Panic selling must be -70 or -100 in a couple of hours on ES , not something like this. Anyway... It looks like nobody wants to pay the price for getting caught at highs so we have a retracement off highs again.. we can have 10 to 25 more ES "follow-through" points to the downside.

17 ES points without a major bounce is huge intraday in this days of low volatilty. May be your trading another timeframe. Let's see if 1420 and 1426 shows some support tomorrow.

any market can be profitable any market can ruin you also. On forex you can open what they call "mini-account" but of couse usually the 93-97% of these accounts end on $0 o near to $0. That's the fact. Of course you may be one of those 3-7% that remain profitable after the first year.

May be your experience with them its different from mine. Anyway, like i said, even when i think the customer service sucks (or at least needs to be improved) i think is the best broker far away overall.
