FWIW, this is a long term position in USDCAD. I can cover the carry on the position indefinitely in vol. I have a short touch going off on Friday at which point I will short 40MM in vanilla puts below the mkt as well. I won't update on the vol unless spot trades under 1.32 (vanilla put strike)...

I can do better (on vol) by shorting the 1.32 puts x40MM (max) in a synthetic straddle or x20MM to effect the synthetic short call. I can ride the thing indefinitely but that is not my MO.

I don't think I've seen 100MM on USDCAD. EURUSD is 150MM during the US session, AUDUSD as well. Cable is quoted really small size apparently due to Brexit. I don't trade a lot of CAD. I'll post size on Tuesday when the mkts are back.
