Could someone explain what this means?

Well, actually, I have been aware of the fact that the sensitive points of a chart - the resistance and the support - are the points where the biggest price action is bound to occur, but being aware and profiting from it are not the same thing. Ever since I had burned half my account on...

Could someone explain what this means?

NoDoji, you're DA man!!! You explained it perfectly! Now, I assume that the interest of the big money in creating this sort of a situation is that ANY price action is better than NO price action. In other words, they make more money in a vertical market than a boring consolidation, so...

Could someone explain what this means?

I think it's in their best interest to make sure that THEY MAKE money, not that people lose money. Could you explain to me using clear logic how purposely driving the markets towards stops making people lose their money is making THEM money? Because even in the example I gave above...

    Market Cycles learned from experience...

Thanks again Prof! I wonder if there is a chart software that combines price-range bars with volume-bars. For example, set a requirement that a bar doesn't close until it reaches a certain volume limit AND a certain price range. That would be next to the Holy Grail, IMH-inexperienced-O.

When you say capped, you mean the requirement that a bar does not close until a certain exact limit (ex. 5000 contracts) has been fulfilled, correct?

Thanks for the demo Prof! Well, the price action looks MUCH more smoother is much more trendy without that noise! That's its biggest advantage, definitely, and one that kills the time charts. I'll def give it a try. Thanks again! What would you say about Investor RT...

Could someone explain what this means?

I hear traders say all the time about how the big money takes out the stops. Why would they do that? Just to piss them off? I don't see the motive. The only reason I see for it is that maybe they might want to, for instance, short the market, but want short at a higher price, so they...

Maybe you're right, I never looked at a volume-bar chart. What platform do you use or would recommend for volume-bar chart? Could you please post a volume-bar ES chart of Friday (or any day last week) for comparison purposes? I'm curious!

Volume doesn't mean a thing. I see big volume on low price moves and vice versa every day. I used to think the same, but now volume is the last thing I look at, if I look at it at all.

the reason why a lot of traders feel the need to short

I should have worded this differently. You didn't misunderstand my post, you have MISREAD it! I never said I was trying to "stick it to the man" or someone. That's what FB said in his reply to my post, and I don't really agree with his interpretation of the psychological reasons why people...

the reason why a lot of traders feel the need to short

I was hypnotized by the boring ES price action at times today and a thought came across my mind about why traders (including me) feel the need to short the markets. It's because we had missed out on shorting when it was the proper action to take, which is in late 2007 and all through 2008 and...
