    IB account for EU resident

Are you saying that, when an EU resident, not related in any way with US, buys German stocks using IB as a broker, US DoJ has jurisdiction over him? I really doubt it. Can you post something in support of your statement?

    IB account for EU resident

I was wondering if anyone has knowledge about where is actually an Interactive Brokers account for EU residents physically located - which sovereign jurisdiction. I am pretty sure that usually is not located in the country of residence but is it in US or in a specific EU country, same for all EU...

    Tax-Gain Harvesting with IB

Basically I need to sell and buy the same position in order to trigger a controlled capital gain for the current year. Is there a way to create a sort of combination order so I wouldn't incur the bid / ask spread cost? The combo components would be either at bit or ask price but I would need IB...

    Improving execution on IB order

I don't have "Pegged-to-Midpoint" option in the order type dropdown list but I have MIDPRICE (TWS Build 978.1e). Is it the same thing?

    Improving execution on IB order

Guys, This is a serious question. I am disappointed to see a lot of belittling, condescending and patronizing posts in reply. The charts and the order history clearly show that big chunk of orders are being executed on multiple / non-predefined prices between bid and ask. Can anyone explain...

    Improving execution on IB order

That never happens. Usually, the bid and the ask stay the same for 2 - 3 days, at $0.01 distance, with a lot of orders executed in between. You can see a chart here...

    Improving execution on IB order

I have two reason for posting the question here: The return on ICSH - iShares Ultra Short-Term Bond ETF is tiny. Usually, 3 days return is 0.01 = the bid / ask spread, not counting the trading commissions. There are plenty of orders happening at half of the minimum tick. The last transaction...

    Improving execution on IB order

I am wondering if there are options to improve the execution of orders with extremely low volatility. As an example, ICSH (50.35 bid / 50.36 ask as of now, 0.01 tick size) might not change for a couple of days. Is there any strategy to get an execution price in between? TIA.

With Federal Reserve expected to lower interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point on Wednesday, where do you guys see the rates for long term US treasuries, 10y and 30y? Strangely, 10y and 30y rates went up about 10% recently.

IB: accounts in two different countries?

Thank you. That's why I am asking here and not calling IB. I was told a story about a guy who had his trading privileges lifted when he told IB customer service that he was calling from abroad.

IB: accounts in two different countries?

Something like that. No assets / no income in EU equals no access to credit / very poor access to banking services. If you just go there for one week vacation probably it is ok, but when you plan to be there 40% of your time, it becomes a huge inconvenience.
