    The Desire to be Right

Handle...I think I might put you in the "active investor" category as far as your long term commodity system is concerned, but because of your active hedging/scaling...I put you into long term trader category. That's not something you hear very often anymore...long term commodities trader...

    The Desire to be Right

A question for the low win rate, high reward, large drawdown, lose a lot of battles to win the war type of traders out there: Have you completely given up the effort to find highly probable setups? Or does your curiosity still allow you to investigate more effective strategies...perhaps when...

    The Desire to be Right

Is this why so many SMART people become college professors and professional students rather than trying to make the big bucks working in the private sector?

    High probability Breakouts

I agree with your post, but in my opinion high probability doesn't mean EASY RICHES...it still takes skill and experience...especially with a R:R of 1:1. Someone less skilled would let the profit slip away frequently...even though it was there for the taking. But I do agree most profitable...

    High probability Breakouts

My favorite setup...inconspicuous and highly probable. I trade breakouts frequently enough, but never the kind that you'd read about in a book. I would never trade a "common knowledge" support or resistance unless it was by accident...this does happen sometimes when I check a more conventional...

Prudent Risk Management Is The Only True Edge In TRADING

I don't know where I said risk management is an edge...because I didn't say it was an edge...right? Didn't I say risk management CAN or SHOULD be PART of an EDGE...which I would qualify as...it depends on the trader. Yes, that's what I said! Anyway, my post was sort of a "dig" towards Buy1Sell2...

Poll : How many years needed to learn day trading ?

I challenge you to understand (if you haven't already) the Myers-Briggs personality type science (google it). I believe the theory behind it and have been testing it in real life for about 20 years now. Basically, we all have an innate preference that we are born with and tend to be good at. One...

Mark Cuban fires his opening salvo at attempting to fix Obamacare

    I can't take him seriously either...he's incredibly annoying.:vomit:

Poll : How many years needed to learn day trading ?

Maturity is what you define it as? What do you say to a trader who does exactly what you say (let trade run to maturity/2% max loss on ea. trade), but has been averaging a 3% gain for the last 5 years because they have a 20% win rate? Would you say the trader needs to improve his/her "run to...

Poll : How many years needed to learn day trading ?

When you use words like "be creative", doesn't that take a degree of simplicity out of the process? When you say "most challenging part is defining what is favorable condition", doesn't that remove a chunk of simplicity from the process of trading? I very much agree with creativity being part of...

Poll : How many years needed to learn day trading ?

Letting the trade run to maturity doesn't sound so simple...what is maturity on any single trade?

Poll : How many years needed to learn day trading ?

Buy1sell2...give us (since there's nothing to hide) an extremely simple method that leads to success and I will back test the hell out of it and display the results for all to see...only way to prove your claim. Anyway, I think you mean "successful trading CAN be extremely simple", since there's...

    Fasting diet 'regenerates diabetic pancreas'

After a workout I always have a protein serving and a carbohydrate serving within a half an hour. Studies show the best results are within this time period...carb replaces energy depletion and the protein helps repair immediately. Carbs...1 or 2 bananas (a favorite), honey, any juicy fruit...

    The S&P has topped

How about 4 out of every 5 trading days? 3.5 of 5 days? You don't have to be right every time...you need to quit with the ABSOLUTES.

2 point gain with leverage on a daily basis adds up to dollars...doesn't it?

    Reality for an Individual Trader

I don't think anybody is saying "poor me", I think we just want to make sure we're aware of the "games" being played in the markets...that's all. I think comagnum, sle, surfer, and myself are doing just fine.;)

    Reality for an Individual Trader

I remember hearing quite frequently about big firms announcing downgrades on stocks, but immediately starting accumulating positions on the dip and upgrades to distribute shares...this was over 10 years ago. This isn't the case anymore?
