    Dell is full of it.

I have one of their notebooks and I really like them. They are quality products and moreover their hardware will work under linux in most cases which is not always true of other vendors. Flexibility is key in choosing a Notebook.

    Dell is full of it.

Computers are becoming way too powerful relative to potential applications. Downloading songs, Divx etc... is another issue but with Verizon being ordered to divulge identities, I don't think this will be at issue anymore. The only thing i can think of that would eat so much space is Video...

    successful traders...????

I think you must go through a period of pain before you can reassess yourself enough to gain and start to become profitable. Consistency just comes with time. I know I blew out once and this event triggered a full reassessment plan that took 6-8 months. The good thing is that I could afford...

    Dell is full of it.

I've built at the very minimum 25 computers since age 15 and I can tell you that sometimes I really have a hard time figuring out what's going wrong. From a screw short-cutting the motherboard to the keyboard lock feature on the front panel connectors, to a myriad of other dumb mistakes...

    Dell is full of it.

Let 'em have it! WarCraft III, Counter Strike! Come on he doesn't know what he's missing. Although a 9700 Pro can be obtained by tweaking the 9000. You can save a full $100 on it. What's the relation to trading BTW?? Should I go long DELL 'cause they tried to rip off your pops?

3700 before 3600, but in all likelihood it will probably go to 3600.

    Wall Street or Main Street

He didn't net $500K but $425K and that means that out of 250 trading days, he netted 6.8 points per day. Granted it seems a little high but it is possible, nobody asked you people to believe him.

Moving averages are only useful in trending markets whichever kind you choose, obviously there are some that are more responsive than others but they still work the same way. I've worked with EMA, VMA, SWMA, AMA, RMA ... and they all have their own little advantages and disadvantages. Try...

    Wall Street or Main Street

Hey Htrader, I think you should go out on your own. Evidently, you have done so already, it's difficult to trade while in college (I am and have been profitable but it's a tough endeavor). I regard that as a successful milestone. I think you are more of an entrepreneur than an "employee", and...

Trading is Freaking Easy Easy Easy

Go skydiving FPC. Or maybe an NDE (Near Death Experience) will suit your excitement level. Nobody said making money was exciting. I guess annoying others is entertaining.

XP of Win 2000 which is best?

I have worked with all OS's including Linux RH, FreeBSD etc... Although Linux is set aside for this discussion, Win2000 is really the most stable MS OS out there. XP keeps bugging me, it crashes way more than 2K for some unknown reason and most apps don't work as well. 2K is really the best MS...

    Big Block trading

This does not make any sense. Breaking up orders into block cannot be illegal, how would one trade otherwise.

    Big Block trading

What is the best way to get rid of a big block of stock without moving the market? Say, 200,000 shares ? Would you break it down in 5000 blocks, 10,000? Are there any strategies out there to do that (MM, institutional traders may be able to help out). Obviously it depends on the liquidity of...

$2000 - what to look for?

and I blew out my account with Datek. The thing is, $9.99 per trade just eats up so much of your equity that you are thinking about breaking even every time you start a trade and of course, on a 100 shares of sub $20 stock, that means you need to get at least 0.20, which also means that your...

Kept It Simple - Is This Something??

DblArrow: You wouldn't get filled because the market would move away from you, slippage would increase and your system would erode slowly but surely. Simple dynamics of the market...
