i didn't have any other anecdotes from ny times back issues. i didn't check his stuff before 1930, as i figure that any iimportant things would be (indirectly) in reminscences...
unfortunately, the access i have to the wsj online only goes back to 1984...
a few articles of his ex-wife shooting his son, and his hospital recovery. i think one mentioned the robbery at his great neck home.
in 1933, he and durant were supposedly very bullish on stocks.

i read a couple books / articles on livermore after his reminiscences days. one of them was written in the last few years - by smitten, perhaps?

i met someone who, as part of his portfolio trades contra-cramer with provisions.
those are, roughly, only trade contra-cramer when he's foaming at the mouth. much of the other time, he flip flops or puts out so many individual recommendations it's impossible to make money except in...
since i trade mainly nasdaq, i'm not grinding axes...
but since you saw fit to comment - what DON'T you find hypocritical about that?
(the naz cries about the nyse trying to keep 'its' companies solely listed on the big board).
went with a friend of mine to the nyc show on sunday; he'd never been before, and trades as secondary income to a day job. so he presented a first-time view, whereas mine is compared to the past couple shows.
