Side by side the new box with the xeon 5160 churns out data about 2- 3x faster than my previous system. On cpu intense calculations it smokes.

Echoing other's sentiments here I've owned or used many monitors and Samsungs IMHO for the money are hard to beat.

Interestingly on a US dollar adjusted basis the S & P 500 is only up about 12% total from trough to peak which is only about a 3% return compounded in stable currency!!!
