    Al Brooks Net Worth

damn well put. My issues exactly. How much predictive power are we actually gaining from various patterns WHEN TRADING LIVE? Even if they do repeat, erratic price often shakes you out before the move. I think that patterns repeating themselves is much less important than how you manage the...

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

On top of needing ways to shift odds into your favor...I think you have to become a highly developed person to do this. Like in a lot ways. So many things need to be well refined or you will be eaten. Seem this way to me at least. @destriero You mentioned the other day while roasting someone...

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

So what I've decided to do is just answer my own question...its really the only way. Just have to study break behavior myself and decide what's best. Thanks for the help everyone. Ive worked my way through several of the suggestions and have benefited.

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

Im with you man, Fading the wicks is what I have been doing but Holy shit it hurts when there are 5,6,7+ doji candles in a row lol. I saw 9 in a row during liquid hours backtesting last night...murder.

Doubled my (small) account last week daytrading CL futures using PA for the first time.

Yea of course 1 week is nothing, I just couldn't help but to get excited about the changes that were taking place. Definitely got lucky more than anything but god its good to be lucky too lol. To lose consistently for so long even a small V is cherished...especially after if follows copious...

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

My bad, its not much context as I just plucked the first choppy movement I saw to show a quick example and didn't analyze it beyond that either. Things like the Red Gravestone doji right before the drop look like textbook easy stuff...especially considering the chop high was another...

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

Thank you man I've always appreciated your help. I use the daily chart to help determine directional bias at the start of the day. I will set trendlines, support/resistance off long term charts also as I believe they hold some predictive value..."support broken turns into resistance" and vice...

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

Yes, Classic neckline break was the trade. Works until it doesn't though...ya know? I guess you just have to take it and if you get follow through then Great, if not then get out and that's ok too...I just prefer to have a little more cushion as selling the low break live backfires a lot. Could...

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

Tr Accurately predicting down while in the trade feels harder than that...at least to me. Bars 8 and 9 look less bearish than 4 and the only thing I can see different about 9 is volume...overall it was making higher highs and higher lows as it crept upwards. Kinda bullish. Either way that is...

How do you Avoid Chop without missing the break (intraday)?

No to both. Almost no size and only trading CL contracts during liquid hours. Volume is not an issue, only looking at it against an average as an indicator of chop.

Selling Options for passive income by Robert Kiyosaki

If you could trade options 24/7 selling wouldn't be as bad...but for equities at least when the underlying gaps against you overnight or weekend while you're short convexity... Any of you primarily trade options on futures for the above reason?
