Spydertrader described the method to calculating pace lines in this post. The pace levels I posted are calculated using the method described in that post. I believe due to limitations in TN Spydertrader uses a different method. From my investigations, it looks like 1600 bars are used...

Spyder, Would you mind commenting on why you annotated the lateral starting at 15:35. I did not annotate it as such because it looked like a retrace to a point 3 and then pt 3 to FTT. No bars overlapping or closes lining up except that the the 1535 bar had a large range. Thanks

Is the 1120 (highlighted with arrow) bar dominant black? It is the first bar out of a lateral but increasing black after the break of RTL.

Nothing to do with pace lj. Look at how spyder has annotated the laterals. What do we need to establish dominance coming out of a lateral? We went from one lateral to another. The OB you refer to 15:15 is the first close with inc vol. The next bar confirms the red dominance. On a side...

    Iterative Refinement

Market never confirmed red dominance prior to the point 2 (1520 being discussed). In real time I had annotated a traverse 1340-1415 (annotated in blue in spyder's chart for a different fractal) and hence established red dominance @ 1445 rtl BO in irv. However based on spyder's chart it is...

How do you define it as a lateral? It does not have 2 closes inside the start bar. I am open to new ideas, but this has never been mentioned in this or the previous journal.

Take a look at Spyder's chart. Not lateral there. I presume the lateral you are referring to started at 14:05. The lateral got kill because one thing ended (down trav) and another started (up traverse). The only reason I can come up with and the one I used in real time is that we had a...

I am still stuck on bar 12 & 13. I view bar 12 as unknown (coming out of lateral I posted about in the am) so I don't have dominance established to take the change signal on bar 13

Lets continue from where spyder left off and complete the rest of the day. Here is a blank chart for 10/7. Continuing from ehorn's post, we have established bar 12 is non-dom until proven othewise. The chart shows a switch in dominance in price to the down side has taken place as it...

Spyder, Thanks for the bar by bar analysis for the drill. The preflight check is one of the areas that has posed considerable difficulty for me especially dealing with gap up and gaps downs and how they affect the continuation of sequences from the prior day. I would not have been able...

Here is my second attempt at the drill - All dominant bars due to increasing volume. - All non-dominant due to decreasing volume except for 10:15 (2nd to last bar) increasing volume however pennant BO.

Meant to do this earlier however I forgot about it until I was reviewing the journal this evening. I posted the following posts thinking bar volatility changes the outcome of the jokari window. Spydertrader later mentioned volatility has nothing to do with it. So please disregrad the...
