Wow, that is an incredible amount of commissions. I hope your broker is sending you free (first class) tickets to Hawaii every year :) I would say that I average maybe $400 a week.

O - Looks like you make the right calls for the most part :) I know my personal problem in the past was overtrading so I always recommend people not to overtrade. I got to the point where I was doing 100-200 a day in commissions/fees, so I needed to make 200 just to break even. I've...

be patient...don't overtrade, or just trade to trade. EDIT: Yep same problem with ET posting.

What are you guys seeing, because I just don't see it. Although I am bullish longer term. EDIT: I would only be looking for a long at 1534 or below and then only half position.

Nice purchase on corn, I had a buy order out there but was too conservative at 326.25

Saxon I agree with Osorico 100%. Double down is not a valid strategy (which is what your strategy looks like to me). I am short, at 1539.75 TP 1535.00 SL 1541.75 I will move to BE if we get to 1537.75 EDIT: at BE. Saxon, just want to let you know that none of us are trying to be...

    Skill Vs. Edge

From my own personal experience, my edge started with seeing annomalies in the market. When I continued to see this certain annomly over a few years, I finally researched it and found out that it would work, but was not profitable enough and/or scalable to where it would be profitable. However...

What % of traders really make money?

I agree completely. You need to play your best hands and not say oh I like 10 7 offsuit since I've won with it the last two times. That's when the market hands you a big loss. Just like when you are playing online you might be playing in a few different tables, think about stocks...you...

Short 1533.75 SL 1536.50 TP 1530.25 Risk reward just slightly above 1:1 but the odds of the trade look very much in favor to me. I ll also be moving to BE if we get to 1531.75. (Thought I'd get filled but didn't) still have trade out there. EDIT: Never did get trade off, moved to...

MB, he was talking about me. But I am curious, what broker are you using? I have IB and TOS. I am currently demoing Infinity AT and am liking the daytrading technology better than IB. And I wouldn't mind seperating the daytrading from the positional trades. I rarely have problems with...

If I hold overnight, I only am long or short 1 position. If the ES contract were to move in 30 points in either direction it would wipe out less than 5% of my trading capital. I do not have any direct hedge. My portfolio is almost always Delta positive so in a sense I would be slightly hedged...

Sorry mb, all the people expecting the big drop at or below 1530 (including myself) didn't get it and had to close out the day and hit your stop. To avoid this happening to me in the last hour, I put a stop so that I at least get a little bit (got +1 point). If I feel strongly about a trade...

Short 1529.50, TP 1524.25. SL 1531.50. I am still long term bullish but short here risk/reward is excellent.

**Almost in Tears** Need Mentor for Futures Market.

BnB My first piece of advice *IF* you want to keep on trading: be adequately capitalized. To trade 1 ES contract you need a minimum of $5,000. I suggest $7,500. Second piece of advice is patience in trading. You posted 172 trades (86 round). If your all in cost to trade was $3 per...

Unfortuantely yes. I wanted to be long over the weekend and if I didn't have to leave early (friend's bachelor party in vegas) I would have put the position on 5 minutes before the close. Leaving early is what also caused me to move up my limit order initially.

I've placed a stop at 1515 to protect a small gain but I'm going to let the position have a chance to run (took of the limit sell at 1519.50). I'm liking that the futures are rallying even with another thwarted terrorist attack in the UK over the weekend.
