    thinkorswim/redoption/autotrade

This goes back to the same argument or question....are those advisory services any good? From what most people say, they aren't...more like cons, giving people good advice they can figure out after reading a book...and giving bad advice that screws them out of more money, in addition to the...

Double Diagonal mixing weeklys and monthlys

Does anyone know if you can do a double diagonal with weeklys and monthlys mixed? ie, Short the weekly and long the monthlys and then keep rolling the weeklys? It could be a very interesting play, no?

    OEX weekly options

I'm trying some virtual trades for various spreads on SPX and it seems they wont get filled cuz of low open interest. I think there must be ways to make good money from these guys, but with no one really trading them, kinda scared to get stuck in a position that I cant unravel at...

2nd poll: annualized returns in speculative activity

Greater than 50% annualized isnt hard....there are a few conservative techniques to get 3-6% a month (annualized to 69.5%) What i wanna know is how to go from 3k to 100+k in 6 months!

    Optionuniversity.com (Avoid at all costs)

So is all this an elaborate show to get us to buy OptionsUniversity rather than read some textbooks and comb through 888options website? I'm so confused as to what is real and what isnt....all I know is that I LOVE options! :p

    Q's Straddle before FOMC

Good to hear 4re...today was interesting. Took my winnings in a JNJ straddle around 6:35am Pacific time, but kept the call in place which should make a lil more for me. The credit spread on Q was for 36 and will get me my 6% monthly return as long as Q doesnt drop below 36 by the 21st...

    Q's Straddle before FOMC

so...it would appear that QQQQ is not heading downwards and kept it's 37-sumpin' support level. sorry 4re, i'm so happy to see it go up cuz I'm workin a credit spread for 36...praying that at all costs it doesnt cross below 36...although we still have 3 weeks...never know what could happen

Question about being exercised in a butterfly

Thanks a lot MTE...so, is time value for that day/contract just the theta multiplied by the days left before expiration?

Question about being exercised in a butterfly

So, I have a question concerning the butterfly strategy. Say you do a call butterfly spread. You sell 2 ATM call options and then buy 1 ITM call and 1 OTM call. Isn't the ATM call in danger of being exercised as soon as it goes a little ITM? And then, what happens? also, when is the best...

    Q's Straddle before FOMC

I would have to join the consensus....Q took a beating already, so I dont think its gonna take a sudden dive down another 2pts and odds are the Fed isnt going to announce that the economy is all good, especially with the sentiment that bernanke is constantly spouting...so I dont see it jumping 2...

Would you let McMillan control your money?

oops...sorry, I meant 70% gain...becomes 170% of what you started out with....anyways...either way, 70% a yr is pretty good IMO.

Would you let McMillan control your money?

What is considered good on this board? For instance...if you just do credit spreads or covered calls for 3-6% each month (annualized to like 170% percent gain)...is that not good? Do people here really pull crazy gains, the so called 1k-100k story that the get rich quick websites talk about?
