if you use a signal splitter (commonly known as Y-cable), you will get a duplicate image on the second monitor. If you want to expand the Desktop into the additional monitor... check recent threads in this forum. There are inexpensive gadgets that can do the job.

if you are talking about Nvidia Quadro FX 3500... it has 2 dual-link DVI-I video ports. i.e. it supports 2 monitors as is.
