TWTR - Twitter starts trading November 7

It'd be nice to have 10,000 shares right now, I'd sell it right at the open and would be laughing all the way to the bank.

TWTR - Twitter starts trading November 7

If it opened at $30 I would have bought some for a quick trade. This is too inflated for me. I really think this can crash. If I had this from $26 I'd take my $20 profit and laugh all the way to the bank.

TWTR - Twitter starts trading November 7

It's ridiculous at $26 and it's going to open over $40.

TWTR - Twitter starts trading November 7

This might be the most overvalued company of time. It's the most expensive IPO in history relative to revenue. It's being valued higher than FB, despite losing money. There's nothing about this IPO that makes sense. Today's high can be the highest price it ever sees. Should be interesting to see...

Looking for a free real time bid-ask screener

I would like to be able to screen stocks based on their current bid size, ask size, and bid+ask size. Any place where I can get this for free. I know Yahoo updates their bid-ask size constantly, but I can't screen based on it. I'd like to be able to sort all stocks by this. Thank you.

Is the drop the last 2 days a buyable dip or the start of a huge drop?

This is the internet where the cynical are plenty. I don't know which way it will go, but I know what most people on this forum will say.

Why are equities and bonds declining simultaneously?

Stocks, bonds, gold, they're all dying. Everything is overvalued.

The Kelly criterion - is it good...or bad?

There's still the risk of going broke, because the $$$ value you can trade cannot get infinitely small. If you could buy a billionth of a share Kelly would work perfectly.

The Kelly criterion - is it good...or bad?

I'm just point out that using Kelly as it is to place your bets is not mathematically correct for the real world. Perhaps people smarter than I have come up with a great modified Kelly strategy to trade with. However, the way Kelly is set up in it's original form implies that there's a 0% chance...

Using the books of retailers to trade against the herd

Has anybody built a system where the main strategy is looking in the books of retail firms to see how many people were long and short, and then going against that position? The idea is if, lets say the book is 80% long and 20% short, if things go bad, and they need to sell all the selling will...

The Kelly criterion - is it good...or bad?

Kelly has a major problem in that it assumes your amount can go infinitely small. This is not true, because once the dollar amount goes below a certain amount in your account it's the same as being broke.

Selection process for finding stocks likely to have a direction for the day

I was just wondering if any fellow stock traders have any insight on finding stocks that are highly likely to move in one direction on the day. Obviously stocks with above average volume and news probably fit this criteria best, but is there anything in particular news you look for? I'm a tape...

    Reviewing your trades

I know whether or not I made a good trade immediately. I know if I missed the right entry or I got out too soon or too late. What's writing it down at the end of the day going to do for me? I guess it could be punishment.

Are you more comfortable buying or selling previous highs?

I'd rather buy the high. If the stock is at its high the sellers definitely aren't in control. Though like anything else in trading, it depends.

Thats it we topped march 6th time to go short.

Why anyone would try to catch a 5-10% correction in a market that keeps going up is beyond me.

First May Snow In Arkansas Since Records Began in 1819

So have heat records. It's not about hot/cold records/abnormalities at a specific time. Someone could point to Irene/Sandy or the 2011 summer and say there's proof of global warming. That's also illogical. It's about the earth has warmed a few degrees over the past century (undeniable fact)...

Capital Traders Group CTG "under direct management of WTS" ??

I don't know, I haven't been following. Seems like many people here want to assume the worst though. Perhaps WTS just didn't want to give them to get a cut anymore?

Capital Traders Group CTG "under direct management of WTS" ??

CTG tried to differentiate themselves by education, scalping, and algotrading. By the end of the year they were pretty much the same firm, sharing the same room and rates.
