How can you even claim that technicals matter?

I have a real business, dumbass. Not staring at a computer screen.

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

And this all sounds like technicals. Correct?

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

You're not answering the question. You're diverting the conversation to nonsense.

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

How can you make them greater than 50%?

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

I was here several weeks ago, and I decided that there is no way that I currently know to reliably make a profit with trading. I have deleted all of my apps. I was just thinking about it today when I was looking at how recent news is what is moving markets. Not moving averages or RSI Etc. If I...

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

Unfortunately, I don't have time to watch charts at all.

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

Let's say I pick the S&P e-mini. Whether I choose to go short or long, I'm making a prediction. Do you disagree with that? And why?

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

But I don't even know how to make a bet that I could honestly tell myself is >50% odds anyway. Why not just play roulette?

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

I don't trade at all because I can't predict it. In fact, I have no reason to believe that my "guesses" are any better odds than 50%. Media, news, earnings releases are all "after the fact," anyway. I would just be following the herd.

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

What's the #1 thing moving markets lately? Coronavirus. Is there any way to have predicted that? Of course not. And before that, it was Iran.

    Who are the market makers?

Here's what moved markets most today: China is no longer considered a currency manipulator by the USA. S&P up 0.7%. Thoughts: impossible to predict, that news event moved markets more than any technical indicators. Perhaps technicals can work in short-term, but they don't move things as much...

    Markets are impossible to predict

So you're batting 50%. And how do you it wasn't by chance that you were right on that one?

    Markets are impossible to predict

Does that work for everything? I'll test it when I have the chance. Stocks, funds, currencies, futures?

    Markets are impossible to predict

I'm waiting for anyone to tell me a combination of indicators to back test that works even 60% of the time.

    Markets are impossible to predict

Sounds like trying to read tea leaves and pretending it's real. Is that a fish and a scorpion in the sky at night? Lol.

    Who are the market makers?

You don't affect the price of things. People with lots of money do.

    Who are the market makers?

    $100 billion

    Who are the market makers?

Whose opinions have the most impact on the price of things?

    Markets are impossible to predict

And if I had guessed right, I'd be on here looking like a genius even if it was luck. If I would have bought the 3x S&P (SPXL), I'd be up 35.5% since 9/4/19.
