Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

Another case in point ...emotions and name calling. No logic or discourse. However, I sense 'capitulation.' Also, the poster is confirming my premise without realizing it.

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

I have posted numerous links to 'case studies'. The key premise (and ...once again...I loop back to the title) relates to the viability of trading as a trade vs other 'trades'. The amount of evidence is overwhelming. Simply Google 'probability of success as day trader. I assumed that (as a...

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

No problem, but please be honest here. How much time ? How many years, for example? Also, in most cases, people 'blow up' accounts whilst learning. You must be an exception if you have not lost money this way. Did you spend money on books? software etc? What is your current (risk adjusted)...

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

Thank you for your input. Perhaps you have a point about non-financial benefits. I learned a lot about myself and risk management from trading which helped in business units I set up outside of finance. I would argue, however, that the martial arts or other pursuits provide more value.

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

Hi, It wouldn't just be me who would find this helpful. Please remember that, statistically, there has to be people who are in the fraction of a percent of traders who are 'hitting it outside the park'. They exist and must do...statistically. My suspicion, however, is that very very very few...

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

No just an equities broker...I refer you to my previous posts...I did a number of jobs in the industry to learn it 'inside out'....I was also a PM. But thank you for your input destriero. You aren't swearing as much.

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

I have no problem, I will have to blank out my name and NI number as I am a regulated individual and will not incur reputational risk. Then, in all probability, you will say my payslips are fake. Then a new cycle of accusations will be launched from other viewers (further conspiracy theories and...

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

I agree that the brokerage industry is in decline (due to regulations etc)....I refer you to my previous posts (my first one in particular) where I mention this. To repeat again. I have worked in both and advisory and discretionary capacity but also within online discount brokers and other...

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

Of course. I would always 100% recommend doing things legally and ethically. There are plenty of legal ways to profit in this world without resorting to unethical and illegal acts. HFT funds, essentially front-run orders...but do it legally ...as an example. Steve Cohen, however, it must be...

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

OK, you were one of the posters who swore at me in a previous post with no justification. But I didn't take it emotionally. Instead, I will loop back and repeat clearly what is written in the title and in a number of posts I have made. Very clearly for you. The premise is not whether I can or...

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

Hi guys, this is my first thread and I have never met anyone here before. It is good to see that I have successfully encouraged debate. Zenostiffel appeared to be a guy who agreed with some of my thought-provoking conclusions (although I have never met or conversed with him before in my life)...

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

Sorry to disappoint you guys. I am not surf, whoever that is or was. So far, pretty classic human psychology of people trying to put me in various 'boxes'...previously, the 'failure' and 'he is looking for a mentor' box...now a new 'he is Surf' box. No idea who that is.

Is Trading Itself a Bad Trade? I Analyzed the Industry- Prove Me Wrong

I can see how a vendor would be incentivized to have such a viewpoint. I am not a 'failure' so please don't put me in that box...rather someone who played a different side of the 'trade' and generated commissions. A vendor/service provider would understand commissions and sales revenue. You...
