    Need Help Need Perspective!

Hello. Are you are polluting the thread with a lot of BS. I don't do none of that crap you are talking about. I don't need a large historical sample. Usually a few hours or minutes suffices. I don't need or care to devise an algorithm. I don't need to improve my speed (too old 67) and I don't...

    Need Help Need Perspective!

I am glad these days are in front of me. I can't hardly wait for the market to open and get my lazy carcass out of bed to start scalping. I occasionally trade NQ or YM but my preference is ES or it's smaller version MES. I like the competition. And I am 67. I would be bored sh$tless if I had to...

    Need Help Need Perspective!

BINGO! What a novel idea? You are the first to mention it to the gentleman! I don't trade every day. I am 67 and love scalping but if I get mentally or physically tired I just stop and go do something else. Work in garden. Errands to town. Take a walk. Or go to sleep! Then get my lazy carcass up...

    Need Help Need Perspective!

I don't worry about slippage as it is basically non existence for me as 99.9% of my entries and exits are with limit orders. It is rare I use a market order. Sometimes I will use a market order in a fast moving BO as I just want in and do not want to wait to see if it will come back to a limit...

    Scalping is Risky?

Nine scalps when I had time to do them. Could not trade the entire session. 8 winners. 1 loss. A scalper needs to maintain a high win rate. IMO I could not trade from around 9:00 a.m. till 13:10 as had other things to attend too but there were plenty of opportunity to trade during that time...

    Scalping is Risky?

Umm well you try it and see how that goes. You are scalping for small amounts. You got win more trades than you lose to make it especially after you factor in commissions.

    Scalping is Risky?

Guilty as accused. These were two trades of several taken today. Most all were profitable. By far. The one loss I showed in my first chart above, however even that trade overall terms was profitable. Just some of the contracts generated a loss by my failing to move a SL after averaging down...

    Scalping is Risky?

Actually not in Honduras at the moment. Time stamp. Of course the time stamp of my post is after the trade. I cannot very well show trades on a chart that are put there by the platform before the fact now can I? The platform placed those entries and exits as they were made live. Then I take a...

    Scalping is Risky?

Um ...moments later another short scalp for 2 points... multiple contracts. Entry short bar 13:55 Exit bar 14:05. It can't be done...It can't be done. Ya'll hear that now! It is so hilarious it is starting to get funny. Ya'll watch for them liquid products like ES. "You are too slow. You are...

    Scalping is Risky?

Just to slow. Too uninformed. 50/50 coin flip, negative skew, late participation....leads to interpretation scalping can't be done. Sort of hilarious... Scalp just a few moments ago. An averaged down trade. Starting at left: Multiple contracts first entry short, added same amount contracts...

    Scalping is Risky?

It is not more risky. It is actually safer. Scalping being more risky is a myth and mis-conception traders have had drilled into their brains..And it is based upon false viewpoints of “noise” in the market. And the extremely false concepts that they are random. Do we know why traders suscribe...

POLL: Big crash coming this week?

It doesn’t matter. Up..down…sideways. Money to be made in each. There is no noise. Only movement. P.S. If voting mattered, they would not let you do it. George Carlin

Techniques for Day Trading the ES, NQ, YM, MES, MNQ, and MYM

Hope it works for you, practice it several times on SIM. Remember it is important that the immediate dynamic is good enough to take the immediate double up reversal or else I wait for another better entry to double up on for getting back a loss in 1/2 the distance in price movement that occurred...

Techniques for Day Trading the ES, NQ, YM, MES, MNQ, and MYM

I might add. I view averaging down not as a revenge trade but a technique employed to give me: 1) Increased probability the trade will be successful. 2) Increased monetary results as it turns in my favor. I.E. more $$$$$ 3) Increased probability of me getting out at BE, or at a smaller loss...

Techniques for Day Trading the ES, NQ, YM, MES, MNQ, and MYM

In the same thread the questions were asked me as concerns doubling and tripling up: 1) Doesn't this increase your risk? 2) Is it unreasonable to think you might have more than one loser in a row? Below is my response to the questions: Actually, done in the right conditions, it INCREASES my...

Techniques for Day Trading the ES, NQ, YM, MES, MNQ, and MYM

Here is a post I made in another thread on my thought processes when looking a at chart. Some may find it as an interesting read describing in general terms my overview of PA and what I am looking for as I observe the graphical picture that is being drawn as price action unfolds i.e. …..the...

please share your thought process when you are looking at charts

Actually, done in the right conditions, it INCREASES my probability of getting back a previous loss and likely even making a profit. Instead of seeing it as increased risk I view it as “increased profit potential” because my previous position (my loss) has now shown me I am the wrong side of...
