Not sure why you think he has to impress anyone. I expect this is his desk and this is REALLY his home. I've was at the SAC offices twice in the 90's, but only saw a conference room.

    Age Restrictions on Prop Firms?

In addition to being able to sign a contract legally, each broker dealer has Written Supervisory Procedures-WSP- that must be approved by their regulator. It is likely they decided to place a requirement higher than 18 to get approval or just to protect themselves.

    Age Restrictions on Prop Firms?

I started my own BD and trading business at 24. I had a good base of understanding, minimal capital and a lot of edge. If you don't know the basics and don't have an edge, you better have enough capital to learn the hard way.

Are ES Futures Options also settled daily?

It looks like a Lime product that offers futures routing without using a futures platform for Lime clients. We don't use Lime Brokerage for routing. We use our own platform and routes through our relationships.

How to calculate margin for this trade

I know it was to open, I gave you the correct response, IN DETAIL. First you have to pair off your options into spreads, then calculate the margin on the spreads and then add in the left over naked longs and shorts, if any. Maybe this will help you. http://www.cboe.com/tradtool/mcalc/ Bob

Do you use it? Seems like even 4x can bring some big P/L swings. I have a CTA I've allocated toward that day trades ES at 4 contracts per $100k. That can have .25% to 1% per day. That seems like a lot to me. I can't imagine trading 85 contracts per $100k at any one time.

    Age Restrictions on Prop Firms?

Mav, He said he is looking to put up his deposit. "I was just wondering if I had a chance for trading for a remote prop firm with a deposit of 5-10k." JBOs are still out there, and it sounds like you agree with me. Yes, a job at a true prop firm is a different story and hard to get. That is...
