Is Trailing-Stop like trading with Moving Averages ?

Oversimplification. It can be very profitable if used in conjunction with other indicators, market sentiment, etc.

I have shorted 50 shares of Tesla at 407.00, do i hold or Short more ?

I meant the amateurs buying the high/low not whether the trade was profitable.

I have shorted 50 shares of Tesla at 407.00, do i hold or Short more ?

I'm not so sure about this. It used to be that amateurs would buy all time highs and then inevitably get hit by the institutions along the way. Now it seems amateurs have been taught to buy the dip

    Can options replace futures?

In November I want to sell you something and you want to buy it from me at a specified price. I think the market is going down so I want to fix the price now and avoid the risk of a loss. I do not want to give you an option where you can get out of the trade even though I get a little premium...

    Can options replace futures?

Swaps are another reason that companies use these derivatives. More so in interest rate swaps but they can sometimes involve equity futures

    Can options replace futures?

    Flash Crashes

I have shorted 50 shares of Tesla at 407.00, do i hold or Short more ?

I have shorted 50 shares of Tesla at 407.00, do i hold or Short more ?

Even friends around the dinner table are starting to say don't short Tesla. Kind of a give away that something downward will happen soon.

Good trade normally but the Robinhood crowd are probably buying the dips still.

Depends... maybe they are trading in tax free savings accounts where you can't use leverage.
