i was told Consistency is important [although that's not my particular style] i've also read that, there's more than one way to make money in the markets [which could mean find your own particular niche] i learned a few things trading along side other full time professionals marc :cool:

investing, your words, is different from trading [day, swing, options] investing, to me, is longer term holding, more conservative what kind of risk vs reward person are you? are you conservative - or a speculator[gambler], like me:rolleyes: in the mean time, read read read marc :cool:

i used to save my current settings, as a file.xxx of some sort it's a TWS file option, up top, i believe put a copy in another folder, if you like marc :cool:

you can get a used copy of McMillans' classic "Options as a Strategic Investment" for like $5, delivered, on ebay [i read that the newest expensive edition isn't that much better] for someone learning, it's a good investment i still look at now and then, for ideas i might have missed, or...

investing in Energy might not be a bad bet, but be prepared to hang on for the long term marc :D

also, i think we may be waiting for the overall market to show some strength, looking at the 2 & 5 year charts for SPY [we're down close to 9%, off market highs] some might even say, the 10 year chart looks like a cliff, we could fall off at any time:caution...

i went from the older cc with all the numbers, to the newer gold cc, with a lithium battery it's more complicated to use, but it gives me some peace of mind, security wise marc :cool:

. i have a Laptop for traveling, which i used to do more and for an emergency - say something goes wrong with my desktop and for a downstairs, other room, after hours, portable computer [after the market closes, i turn my desktop off for the night] marc :p

after seeing the news that Warren Buffett, or at least someone over at Berkshire H, took a position in KMI maybe Energy in general is worth a look...through an ETF marc :cool:
