    P-Coast in trouble?

Pretty good, I haven't got back to you because we are looking into setting up a B/D in the Bahamas. I don't want to see that type of consolidation either, it will kill the game. An option ECN might help; I thought some guys in NY where working on that? I agree the MM needs to make...

    P-Coast in trouble?

The point is they killed their own game by enacting a number of rules in the last few years, effectively limiting access to the very traders that were trading huge size. All they need to do is honor their markets and give access, volume will explode. Make a market, trade it and hedge with...

Trading Software that actually gives a consistent return

We do not have the "it has to be invented here" problem, most of what we do started with a minor idea someone heard that someone was doing. Obviously, we have an edge in implementing, expanding on and fine tuning, but it is not rocket science.

Trading Software that actually gives a consistent return

The reason people discuss these things in a public forum is because we are all searching for that "crumb" of information, that the other guy may consider insignificant; and we are bored.

    P-Coast in trouble?

I really hope they get their act together, start honoring their quotes and size, allow open access for all, leave everything on auto and start trading like the big boys we know they are. I would much rather have six exchanges really competing with each other, in a fair market with time and...

    Mechanical Trading versus Discretionary Trading...Opinions?

I agree; we win 40%, lose 60%; however are losers are 85% scratches, 15% losers and we have very low transaction costs.

    Mechanical Trading versus Discretionary Trading...Opinions?

Whether it is called a "black box" or not is not really relevant; the key point is we blindly take all opening trades that a system generates. The negative to this type of trading is you are always adding "idiot filters", whenever you take a huge hit from a trade that no sane person would have...

Just trying to see how much smarter you guys are than us... We caught on to the bin thing too. I thought everyone wanted the other side of our orders.
