That's a good point if you use market orders for your system. I use stop orders and the slippage is much smaller, usually does not exceed 1 tick for ES.

Yes, I would like someone to verify that too, because I might be wrong. I thought that a stop order becomes a market order automatically in such a case, but I usually place my stop orders well before the stop price is hit so my experience in this matter is rather limited.

Well, that's the only way to understand it and that's the way I understand it. I also use times like that in my market analysis, but I simply look at three moments during the day only: 11:30, 12:45, 14:00-14:30.

My favorite times for reversals are 11:30 and 12:45. Today the reversals took place at 11:30 (the peak) and 12:50 (the bottom). Things like that happen more often than most realize, they simply reflect chart symmetries.
