Much depends on what you define the tape to be. IMO tape will still be around. It was here before electronic internet trading...before ..electronic streamers..and it is here now and I think it will be here in the future.

You don't place a stop in case something like this happens? That way if a crash happens and your stop gets gunned before you get the computer back up then you are out of the market.

Yes, that agreement you sign makes you responsible. TM ain't gonna pay for this one. I suggest always listen to your broker and if any doubt as others have said the exchange is the last word IMO.

That may be your phone line? Are you in the country. I had/have at times that problem because of the"old" maybe cracked phone lines that I wish the phone company would replace.

Are you sure the exchange you are placing the stoplimit order ACCEPTS stop limit orders? eCBOT doesn't accept stop limit nor stop#. You have to select just STOP form the option/application option screen. Also if you are multibracketing orders you have to have the multibrackets box selected at...

I would short the S&P on the open Monday morning providing it opens near where it closed. Should make a lower low monday. If it open down quite abit from where it closed (I doubt it will) then I would not short but wait for the lower low to bottom and go long for a p.m. rally. The tape shows...
