    Its all about "tests"

I took that 1272 break this morning, exited on the 11:15 candle. What do you think of a 1264 test and break today? I'm giving it 3:1 at the moment (against)...

Druckemiller: It takes courage to be a pig

Of course I agree! He's right in so many ways. Its not luck per se (of course theres an element of luck associated with it though), IMO it has a lot to do with the probability of having a winner grow larger and your internal belief system. Say you take a position and it immediately moves...

Is everyone making a Ton of $$$, if not, then WHY?

He did that - without a blotter by the way. Oh, and I should mention that in the process he managed to put down anyone making under a 200/day for posting their "insert some degrading adjective here" blotter. A rich asshole is still an asshole :) Mike P.S. If your purpose is to tell...

Does everyone have CNBC turned on while trading ?

I'll ignore the noise in your post in an attempt to identify the basis behind your opinion. You're saying that information flow is the critical component, no? Any source of information flow is valuable, no? We agree here. However, I have watched CNBC in the past, and, much like...

Does everyone have CNBC turned on while trading ?

CNBC is worthless. I don't watch anything on the TV while trading, its all useless garbage. However, my opinion is that the futures tell/forecast the truth, they are the best indicator of the nature of an upcoming news event before its even announced. Reading market dynamics prior to news...

What percentage of people on ET are morons or full of BS?

Yeah, that's the hard part right there. What you've mentioned has been asked before. I suggest a post rating system (0-10) would do the job. This would entail having every single one of a persons posts be subject to voting, thereby establishing creditibilty via an "average post score"...

What percentage of people on ET are morons or full of BS?

It a cyclical bias. The same thing seems to happen every 3 months or so here on ET. A wave of "I'm killing it in the markets right now!" posts come into the fray. The next few months "How badly do the markets suck right now" type posts, back and fourth etc etc... Very few of the newer posters...

Steve46 and Hypostomus Debate Trading Strategy

That's lame. Why move us into chit chat? I realize that the beginning of this thread contained massive amounts of shit, but its slowly recovering. You know, like what fertilizer does to a barren farm :)

Great example of stop running there:) It pushes over 1565,1566, gets all those stops and reverses. Beautiful action - I knew I was meat when we spent too much time aroun 1564. Love the futs:)

Steve46 and Hypostomus Debate Trading Strategy

Washed the trade for B/E - too much time spent near my entry. The market may have traded back to 1561 and offered me a profit, but, I positioned myself incorrectly. EDIT: There she's a poppin'

Steve46 and Hypostomus Debate Trading Strategy

Its a small part of my toolbox. It gives me a rough guide to market "mood". Anything over 1565 is an exit signal for me NQ short here. I may have positioned myself around too many buyers here:) Mike P.S. Its tough to watch a market and type this at the same time. Not doing it...

There's a chance the NQ may touch that year today ~ I'm betting on a touch, break and run through. Low odds, high payout, my favorite kind of trade:) Mike

Steve46 and Hypostomus Debate Trading Strategy

No worries. I don't consider it prying, I'm very open about what I trade from. Anyone can learn my strategies, I don't think they will make them money though unless they go through some very important mental processes. Making money is in the mind, not the strategy.

You got it, round numbers, volume correlation and time spent in a particular price area. Are you familiar with Market profile? I use an analysis approach that is roughly similar but mostly homegrown. Took that 1564 break, BTW, we're off and running:)

Steve46 and Hypostomus Debate Trading Strategy

I like the NQ as well. A bit more sane than the ER2 for my preferences (I trade all the index futs, today I just happened to focus on the NQ). Today got me into on trade with one NQ setup. The 1576-1572 is a "no-mans land" IMO, a value are exists here that when broken up or down produces a...
