Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Nine_ender....its your only real hope. Take the barrel of the gun and put your "lips around the end of the barrel" and just SQUEEZE.... It will all be over very quickly...all the pain and squirreling around in your mind, all the hate and insanity...it will be over VERY QUICKLY and you can...

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

Still looking over all the charts..very nice posts guys. Printing these out because there is a lot to look over...but clearly, spotting the bear much more clearly right now. I will start posting again on selling every bounce because I believe this strategy is starting to prove successful.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

You came onto this thread out of the blue declaring your proprietary "secrete" knowledge of the market, your expert advice of how bullish the market would be "with complete certainty" and how anyone who dared to sell here would be endlessly bashed by you. Well, I am also here to say that I sold...

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

yea, we know, they know, sell side knows, pretty much everyone knows...that the economy is shit and that every stock that gets shorted (every index that gets shorted) deserves to be shorted cuz these valuations are garbage at this point. But, none the less, squeezing and gunning for any selling...

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

odd time for the market to drop. After the Saudi embassy attack in Iran and the Russia/Turkey flare up, I would think that oil may finally get a bid. It may not be enough though, as China is showing full-on stagnation and massive over production/over building in both residential and industrial...

yea. Here, I envy macro strategy shorts who have had the balls to hold strong and are fully positioned to be rewarded.

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

seems like there should be a historical situation where a small group of leader stocks were propping the overall market to which one could spot how/why they finally broke down and rolled the market over into a full on bear market (maybe not in 1999/2000 but somewhere). I know in 2008/2009 the...

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

seems like automated trading algo's have learned to spot short interest or just large and/or many sell orders tick by tick and will, after a bit of market drop, buy purely on the offset or squeeze factor...almost a reversion to the mean based on squeezing sellers (selling as a profi trade rather...

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

Selling on the bounce follow-up.....yea, I guess it goes without saying. Trying to spot the bear through near term market behavior. So, we had a bounce (Christmas rally) and I am selling into this rally as of the London session (short ES at 2050 stop at 2060)

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

On thing to watch for even as the bear begins to show more clearly here is the US Govt cooking economic numbers which will make it harder to act on the bear once it is fully spotted. 1) This morning US supposedly "inadvertently" released early consumer spending data which was supposedly much...

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

I think the Dow transports have offered an early look this year at the bear and, as in many instances, this might be more apparent after much of it has happened. Also, CAT offered an early look as well (CAT chart probably offering an early template of the eventual Dow chart as we move forward)

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

was going to begin my trial of selling on every bounce but will hold off til next week as Christmas may offer an extended rally....but if it does, this should offer a chance at an extended short next week. Also Kommissar regarding your mention of "the mid-Nov mega rally and that re-test near...

my pipes run from near a church. Will they still freeze? and my gas burner stove is in the basement ...down in the direction of Beelzebub. Will God still leave my stove alone? By the way, gas burners are on sale for holidays now and are marked down 66%..its a good deal for last minute...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$ I love it. The Fed is clearly in a hiking phase yet the wizards are still trolling in with their Fed will CRUSH shorts??? WTF are these people huffing, airplane glue.... Yes, the Fed could reverse tomorrow but that would take the little credibility they...

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

agree. I would only venture to sell the bounces and see how that plays out at this point. Although romik has a long term short position with pretty wide stops so seems he could just stay short here until more confirmation of a bear market and then scale further funds into that short.

Spot the Bear. Weekly chart analysis of S&P500

yea, the Nasdaq cross indeed begins to shape the bear. Brakedown of Apple shapes it even more. Might be a good time to start trial and error on "sell on the rip" SOTR
