Is it possible to make $50 to $70 per day with a 4K account in YM ??

You neglected to mention on the days they don't making 1%, they lose 2% (or more)... Its not a question of make 1% per day once in a while, you need to make 1% per day AVERAGE, one bad losing day can wipe out many days of winners

Wow, I unsubscribed from this thread after my last post because I didnt want to read the usual crap from jimrockford that I knew was coming. Now that it has bubbled back to the ET front page I just re-read it from where I left off. So someone agrees with me and disagrees with you so that...

    10000rpm hard drive?

Yea, I'm with you on all that. I thought math_wiz was saying that there are some USB drives that had a permanently attached cord which I had never seen before - just a misunderstanding.

    10000rpm hard drive?

Oh Ok, I understand now. You do realize thought that you don't need to use that cord in that picture (Corsair Voyager GT 8GB), its just a convienence, not a requirement. I use a drive that looks just like that (slightly bulging with a rubberized body) and it fits in just fine straight in, no...

    10000rpm hard drive?

Can you post a link to a USB drive that has a permanent USB cord like Math_Wiz described? I've never seen one and I have like a dozen USB flash drives sitting in my drawer of various sizes (from 16MB to 2GB)

    10000rpm hard drive?

I don't understand your invention - all of the thumb drives I have do not require a cord, some include a 6 inch USB extension cord to make it easier to access USB ports but they aren't required to use it. When I use a USB drive I plug it directly into the PC and it sticks out, just as you...

Computer has mind of its own

So is it now staying on the blue screen? If so the blue screen has valuable information that can point to the source of the problem - just write down all the information you see, especially the "number of error (parameter, parameter, parameter, parameter) name of error" part and then google...

Computer has mind of its own

Another option: do a fresh OS install in another partition (or another drive if you have a spare one). Leave the fresh OS running for a while, if the spontaneous reboot happens with the new OS then it probably is a hardware problem, if not then its probably a software problem in the old OS...

Computer has mind of its own

Restart on a blue screen (system crash) isnt a BIOS function, its a Windows setting: Control panel->System->Advanced tab->Startup and Recovery (Settings)->System Failure->Automatically Restart (Checkbox) Your BIOS likely has a setting that allows you to decide if the PC should remain off...

Very bad experience with IB¡¯ customer support person

I suspect that there is something missing here that you decided not to share, I'm guessing you sent them an irrate email or otherwise acted unprofessionally and they decided that they didn't want you as a customer. What aren't you telling us?

    10000rpm hard drive?

I'm not confusing anything, I'm responding to the discussion in this thread. No one needs a 10k drive for a typical trading PC and anyone that really does need that kind of IO performance should not be consulting an ET thread for advice. Your suggestion to look at drive manufacturer data...

    10000rpm hard drive?

Yes, because we all know those with the fastest hard drives rape the market, while those just puttering along with 7.2k drives are being bled dry. Get real.

    Internet connection problems/solutions

You don't sound like you want to discuss the DSL problems but you may want to consider getting DSL on a dry-pair which means it isnt running shared with a voice-line. If you are able to get 3.0/768 service then you must be within a reasonable distance to the CO and not at a marginal service...

How much is the going rate for someone to build a computer?

fxp125, if you are going to build-it-yourself, do it because you want to learn and you believe enjoy the process. If you are doing it just to save money I think you will disappoined with how little you save vs how much time you invested to get it done. If you pay someone else put it together...
